Is there any creed to this break-in article?

Just curious...Getting a new car and was wondering what your thoughts are on this subject.

Well, considering the high compression ratio of the M3 in specific, and it high revving ability, and the fact that things are recorded in the DME like RPM number, speeds, etc... I would follow BMW procedures accordingly..it's only for like 1200 miles... Then redline everyday afterward...

It is definetely an interesting idea, at first glance it sounds reasonable, but I dont know enough about engines to know for sure. Your call though, it is your car. BMW may void your warranty though.
