I would like to retire now and just spend my days hanging out at the racetrack all of the time. You will always see the best stuff from almost every form of auto racing (CART, NASCAR, F1, ALMS) during off-days. I was at Sebring on Sunday for Chin Motorsports track day event. BMW had thier Schnitzer factory M3's there in the tractor/trailers until about 5:00 when they brought them out to test (probably doing motor testing due to the new absurd restrictions:rolleyes: ) for a while. Beautiful, just beautiful. Toyota/TRD had a truck/trailer there, but wouldn't bring out what was in there. And then I find this out!! I never saw their trailers at all and I missed them completely! uuuggghhh...son of a bit@h!

[The MG Le Mans car ran on US soil for the first time this week (Monday & Tuesday) at the Sebring circuit and promptly beat this year's American Le Mans Series Audi pole time by more than half a second.

Jonny Kane completed 150 laps over two days running at the Sebring International Raceway and set a best time of 1m48.5s, eclipsing Tom Kristensen's pole time from March this year by 0.6s.

The Ulsterman was concentrating on longer runs on the second day of two today (Tuesday) and was convinced that "there was more to come" from the EX257 which set the pace in the LMP 675 class at this year's Le Mans.

Frank Dernie, chief engineer for racing car manufacturer Lola, which builds the car, said: "I'm absolutely thrilled."

The test was also used as a showcase for potential customer teams which could use the car in next year's ALMS. Drivers from several teams got behind the wheel to carry out provisional evaluations.]
