Tonight I left the Irvine spectrum w/my gf at around 10PM and went on the I-5 South. Over the last few days there has been some kind of construction or road repair shutting down the two right lanes of the I-5 South and causing massive traffic delays starting at El Toro, so instead of waiting in traffic I decided to get off at El Toro and just take Paseo De Valencia home to La Paz. I got to Valencia no problem and lowered the windows/turned up the radio cruising at about 45mph until a light turned red.
When the light was about ready to turn green my gf said the person in the car to my right was trying to talk to me, I looked over and saw a (rather fat) chick in a black older-model Honda Accord trying to tell me something, I lowered the radio so I could hear her better, then the light changed. I was quite suprised to see her punch the Honda, a bike-ish whine coming from its tailpipe. I was taken off guard (out of gear with the e-brake on) but also punched it, now about 3 cl's behind her. I immediatly started to regain ground and got to her door by the time we were getting close to the next light (they are spaced quite close together, so there was only about 1000 feet between them. I had my radio off this time and was quite suprised to see the fat girl having a good time, now on her mobile phone and laughing to the person on the other end with her window still down. I shouted over something to the effect of 'lets see what happens when I am ready' and saw her inching up to the line and put the phone down. The light turned green, I got an excellent (if I do say so myself) launch and put on several bus-lengths (and gaining) all the way up to Alicia.
I could have made the light but instead downshifted and allowed the Accord time to catch up. With a stern look on her face the fat chick decided she needed to make a right and crossed over 3 lanes of traffic to do so. I looked over but she refused to acknowledge me.
