Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone had a wideband O2 sensor on their car. I'm looking at putting one on a S52 thats converted to OBDI that is in an E39. Anyone who has an M3, where did you put the AFR gauge (I just want some general ideas assuming you have one)? Also, which would be the best one to get? Thanks in advance guys?

Do a search on this one Charlie, there have been two or three extensive discussions on the wideband O2 setup

Do a search.. theres lot here.. I run an Innovatemotorsports LM1 Wideband. ONe of its features most useful for tuning is that it can log up to 44 minutes of test runs.. It also has hookups for 5 additional sensors, which it will plot on a graph alongside the afr and rpms.. If youre tuning, its very useful to be able to see AFR, RPM, TPS, MAF, any voltage clamp you might be using, and any other sensors you want to log.

I recently installed a PLX devices wideband in my car. Although the box it displays in is rather deep, I recessed it through my sunglass holder section of my center console. It fits nice, looks nice and reads large numbers quite vividly that can be read out of the corner of your eye while driving.
I cannot believe I went this long without a wideband, only using that stupid split second a/f monitor I have, which I now realize was totally inaccurate.
I bought 2 at one time and paid $315.00 each shipped, I thought that was a real good deal considering how much the FJO and the AEM pieces cost.

I have wideband with my TEC 3 system. I can monitor it on my laptop while driving or have it recorded on my harddrive on my laptop for post driving reviews.
