View Full Version : Anyone know a decent traffic lawyer in NC?
Iron Chef 03-18-2004, 10:26 PM I don't recall the county I was pulled over but it was about an hour West of Hickory. I was in the E55 and ran into some twisties I couldn't pass up. I was given a speeding ticket (95 in 55) and reckless driving. They want me to come back for a court date in May:rolleyes:
AbeM3 03-23-2004, 07:59 AM When/if you find one... let us know! Wish I could be more help! Good luck!
Iron Chef 03-23-2004, 09:49 AM You guys telling me NC doesn't have traffic lawyers?!? Dallas is full of them. Many offering to dismiss or lower the fine for only 50-150 bucks.
mmmbeefy42 03-30-2004, 05:28 PM Yup, I'll PM you the stuff. Got me out of a 77 in a 45 clean. One friend of mine out of 4 tickets, all 15 over+, 3 others have used him as well at my recomendation. His name is David Godfrey, he's in Apex. He's a good friend of my father's from law school.
Iron Chef 03-30-2004, 06:01 PM Hook me up. I can't speed around town anymore with this shit on my head.
mmmbeefy42 03-30-2004, 06:31 PM You've got mail ;) . (A PM, that is)
Might want to tell him I sent you, you'd be my 10th referal, I think I have a punch card somewhere around, maybe my 11th will be free.
Iron Chef 03-30-2004, 08:06 PM Sweet! I'm going to give him a call tomorrow. Who should I tell him reffered me? mmmbeefy? Thanks again!
mmmbeefy42 03-30-2004, 08:51 PM Daniel Ward, but you can just say some on the net or something seeing as how you live in Texas.
///MDex 04-01-2004, 11:38 AM My god. 95 in a 55? Any jail time? I'd love to hear the conversation you had with the officer :)

Well the first trooper was cool about it. The second one, the one that clocked me, was an ass. Maybe cus he had to send the first officer to stop me? He kept on screaming at me about drugs and guns.
bmwm3n528 04-01-2004, 06:57 PM When were you an hour south of Hickory?
Iron Chef 04-01-2004, 07:54 PM I was West of Hickory trying to get out of NC. About 3 weeks ago
Iron Chef 04-03-2004, 11:30 AM Well I don't have to go back to NC. I'll get the wreckless dropped only if I plead guilty to speeding. And all this for a mere 900 bucks. There goes my supercharger fund.
mmmbeefy42 04-03-2004, 11:51 AM If you fought it, which I would strongly suggest you do if you lived in state, you could probably get it all dropped for court cost and lawyer's fee.
I don't know what your insurance situation is like, but you might be in for a big hit that could be avoided if you got off, and it's not as hard as people think.
Iron Chef 04-03-2004, 12:06 PM Fight a 95 in a 55? The DA gave me the choices above. I still need to talk to other lawyers and see what they think. I still haven't called Daniel Ward. I should prolly do that soon.
mmmbeefy42 04-03-2004, 02:43 PM Yeah I'd give him a call, except he's David Godfrey, I'm Daniel Ward...I'm not there yet...maybe in a couple years though.
