garyhoov also said he had this problem...
My passenger door makes a horrible noise when closed, and the window leaks air at 70+. I'm about to take it in and get it fixed. Just wondering if any of you other owners know what the heck is wrong with it and why is it just the passenger door.

I suppose its just something from that long list of bugs that new cars experience.

no problem here :dunno: in fact my Z4 has been flawless for the most part, Jan/03 delivery

the leak is just a seal adjustment, typical convertible

It doesn't sound like mine is as bad as yours, and I still haven't gotten it fixed, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're both related to some sort of flaw/weakness (missing clips?) in whatever holds the window in place.

Right after I picked mine up, I noticed that when my son closed the door it "rattled". Initially I blamed him and told him not to close it so hard, but then i realized that there was a clear difference between the sound of the passenger side and driver side. If I open the door and "wiggle" the window, I can feel that there is more movement on the passenger side.

I'll probably be taking mine in for its 15,000 mile service in a couple months, and I'll try to remember to let you know what they say.

no ... it seems are problems are the same. i didn't mean to exagerate, but perhaps mine is just a little more loose. (i too got mad at a friend for shutting the door too hard when i first noticed it) I'm going to take i in next will so i will let you both know what they say about it.

Thanks! That should be a big help, particularly if they have to order anything. I can give them a heads up when I schedule mine.
