Me and Pete went on Sunday afternoon after Summit Point. What a waste of time. Long lines, a car caught on fire which stopped the races and we were the last ones to run. Essentially we paid $20 for one run. The lady told me on the phone that they close at 5 so we figured at 3:30, we'd get a few runs in. When I went up to tech, he told me that although the gates close at 5, the lanes close at 4. :rolleyes: Live and learn...

I take Rt 32 going down there-I can meet you in Columbia. I met Glenn at the Best Buy Parking Lot off of Snowden last time. Or we can all meet up at the Park and Ride off of Broken Land Pkwy where the Rt 32 exits are.

Best Buy sounds good, Jed & John. However, I think we should get there as early as possible, so that we can get a few runs in without having to wait too long. The later it got, the more crowded it became the last time we went!

I plan on getting there when gates open, and being one the first people in line ready to run at 5:30 when the lanes open. I think we can get in 3-4 runs pretty easily without to much trouble. Many of those guys leave at 5:00 from work to go straight there ... so, I think we can get 4 runs in pretty easily ...

I'll be there at 4:45 again :D

Last week at Capital simply blew. The staging lanes were completely filled. And some idiot blew up or something at the end of the strip, so we had to sit around for an hour. My friends got in 3 runs, in 5 hours!...not worth the damn $20.

Jed and I went last week. It sucked. They told us they're closing at 5:00. When we get there they tell us there closing gates at 4:00. We got 1 run for 20 bucks. Waited over an hour for the track to clear after the fire. I feel bad for the dude since he got burned pretty bad.

What time were you there? Pete and I were at Capitol from 3:30 until the close. We were in the 7th and 8th lanes-I was driving a red 325is and Pete has a black 323is.

Hey... I definately saw a black 323is with team bar logo in there on like lane 3 or 4. I didn't run my M3 that day, however I was parked next to a e36 m3 coupe (technoviolet maybe?).

I was taping my friends WRX and turbo Integra for most of the time. I think for actual TEST AND TUNE, nothing beats Cecil raceway on Saturday mornings. Last time we went, there were like a total of 10 cars there!

My best was a 14.918 @ 92.28mph. Same exact 1/4 time as my last best time.

Interesting thing is...I got it last night with a 2.163 0-60' whereas last time I got that time with a higher 0-60' and got a higher trap speed at 93.4 at a higher outside temperature. That kind of confirms that my car is slower without the exhaust. Oh well.

It was so dead. I got there at like 6pm and got in 4 runs easily in 30 mins and that was with hanging out inbetween runs in the parking lot. you could literally get back to back runs last night.

The was even an R32 righthand drive Skyline that showed up. I sweated him.

Thanks Andy! School kept me pretty busy last season so I didnt have much spare time. I'm now looking for a job but my semester is pretty easy so I should be able to make it out for a couple events.

Yeah, that was my best 0-60' to date. I would've loved to have gotten that time when i got my last 14.918-I think I would've gotten into a 14.8. As for room for improvement...I guess we'll see-after I get new tires and other things done.

A race between you and Eric's 318is would've been good-he got in the mid 16s as his best. I think he would get you off the line but you would catch him at the end. :dunno

I pulled a 15.06 with a full tank of gas.

I'm pleased.

Ahhh, a beater race...

It is pretty far north for us. You have to cross the bridge which is like $5 too. It is past Ripken Stadium.:eek:

My best was a 13.501 at 105.51 mph. I cut a 2.2 60' time. I consistently averaged around 13.6-13.7. I did have DSC off and turned on sport mode.

I didn't do launch control because I had no idea how to do it. I would just try to ease out the best I could without getting wheelspin. I definitely feel I can get the car into the 13.3's with a little more seat time ... and taking it to MIR. Capitol's raceway is not exactly the best ...

The one time I tried to figure out launch control, I ran a 16.1 second with a 3.5 60' time, :laugh ... yeah, I'm sure the maxima that ran against me was totally stoked!

My friend's C32 ran a best time of 13.479 at 106 mph if I remember correctly. He consistently trapped between 105.5-106.5. So, methinks his car is stronger than mine :mad: Both of us ran the car as we brought them, 3/4 tank of gas, no playing of air pressures, and larger tires than stock. He had SO3's though, so I figure that helped him with traction, hehehe ... gotta find an excuse somewhere! :biglaughb

Both of us are bone stock ... unless you count my CF decals! :buttrock

Plus ... jed saw me yesterday --- he saw that I have added some mods and it is slowly going to become a race car:eek:

II evosport upgrade for his car ... :mad: ... so, I need to scramble and find ways to make my car at least competitive ... he wants to basically "DESTROY" my car if it came down to a straight-line race. He acknowledges that I will be faster around a track; but, in a straightline, he wants brute force to lay the smackdown on me ...

I've also been emailing Karl as well ... I would have no qualms about going Dinan ... just trying to find a bit more information. I would not mind going Nowack; but, I know many of the N500 guys are pretty pissed off ...
