Guys,

When not braking -- I get an audible clank from the front end -- either side -- when going over small sharp bumps. Sounds like around the wheels.

If the brake pedal is depressed, even slightly, it's not there.

Those gurus who know the front brake assemblies -- what say you?

Thanks!

I know in my case that I have "rattling pads", but I have a UUC big brake kit and Rob is promising a fix... At least he did two months ago... It is one of the most annoying sounds - I feel your pain.

Any indy brake shop should be able to quickly identify the source of the rattle/clank and propose a fix if it is in fact coming from the brakes.

Kind of a metallic sound? "Sounds" like rattling brake pads to me.

Stock brakes/pads?

If so, you may need new retaining clips...

Cool. So "retaining clips" are the magic words, then?

It's definitely a CLANK sound.

It's going to my indy in the AM and I wanted to be clear to him what I was experiencing.

Thanks!
