View Full Version : AS or ASP with this modification?

I was considering removing the front strut pin that many E46 M3 owners remove to gain -.5 degrees of camber up front. However, does this move you from AS into ASP?

It DOES come from the factory like that, you are just removing one pin ... ??

Plus, from what I understand, as long as I keep the stock OE size of 18" on the car, I can run 245/40/18 and 275/35/18's without any problems of being bumped a class, since it is still a stock wheel size. Correct?

Thanks!

p.s. -- are SS brake lines a modification that I have to worry about?

The only way to know for sure if that alignment pin is legal is to check the factory service bulletins to see if that is an approved way of making camber adjustments.

You can run any size tires with any wheels so long as the wheel size stays the same (diameter and width) and the offset is within 6mm of stock.

The stainless brake lines are illegal in stock, and anyway they won't really help you.

True, except if a car comes with SS lines from the factory. Not trying to bust balls, just want to make sure it's clear.

As for the tire size as long as you stay with rims that are the same demsions as stock you can run any size tire you want and still tay in stock class.

SoloII//M is right... only if approved by factory.
