On my '02 M3 if I just keep hitting the steering wheel button up or down it will automatically go to the next FM band (from FM1 to FM2 for example) and continue selecting my memorized stations. On my 740 however, it will just stay in the current band, and I have to use the dash button to select the next FM band. Is there a way to change this? Thanks

:complain NO you can't and it sucks. It scrolls all 12 presets on my 99 540 as well. I got transfered 10 times at BMWNA trying to get some help on this with no luck. It seems to me that there has to be some way to do it Sorry about the rant:95

That's too bad. At least now I know that it can't be done. Thanks for the info.

ROY Hold the phone you can change that. Let me look it up later in the manual. OR you can check .org to see if it's in there. I'm on my out to the SS7 dinner. I'll check it later

Roy: Mine does the searching through the station thing if I hold the button down for more than a second or so. However, if I just hit the button briefly it will go to my next preset.

Mine does not react differently when pressing the buttons once or after a couple of seconds...

Leave it to me to own the one year they did not put that in!!!

No biggie... It'd be nice but I still would not kick her to the curb!:evil2
