Broke the hose joint (see picture below) this morning while I was replacing couple of secondary air injection pipes. (What an amateur! There I said it before you could.) The top (red) hose had a plastic nozzle which was inserted into the bottom hose. The plastic nozzle has snapped so most of it is still stuck in the bottom hose. I can probably pull out the broken plastic nozzle from the bottom hose but it looks like I will have to install a new top (red) hose. It is not leaking right now but it is wet. After browsing the ETK and TIS my best guess is that the bottom hose is connected to the expansion tank and the top (red) hose is connected to the water pump. Is my observation correct?

Do you know how I can replace the top (red) hose? Will it involve draining the coolant or using some special tools?

BTW, this is 2000 750 with 61K miles.
