It's a slushy mess out there!

Although I just drove around (in the Honda Element AWD) and it's not at all slippery, I hope everyone gets to take a snow day.

WOOHOO!! UGA is cancelled so I'm happy. Especially since I was scheduled to have a Data Management test in 2 hours.

You all suck. There's about 1/8" on the ground here and the roads are wet. Yet amazingly, the schools are still cancelled...

I'm already at work and Rachael is going in this afternoon (she works in Austell).

Contrary to popular belief, GA400 was fine this morning. I made it from the Connector to Windward in 17 minutes. It must have been all of that cold, moist air that helped. It felt like I had another 10HP....

Bah, Tech's like the only school in 40 miles that's still in session today (or at least closed till noon). I wanted to sleep in!! :(

It has nothing to do with me handling the roads.. It has to do with being able to take the day off... and having an excuse to do so. ;)

And yes 85/400 was fine all the way to work.

I came into work, despite my better judgement. Most here are working from home -- something I should've done, myself.

:nono Tech isn't even closed till noon. I had to drag my ass outta bed at 8:30 today to go take a test. People slipping and sliding all over the place, kinda funny to just observe for a few mins.

Yeah.... walking across campus at 8:45 in the snow fucking blows. Why we are the only campus in the entire area still having class I don't know.... but it makes me want to urinate on somebody in charge.

Hasn't snowed here since early January of 2002 guys.

I think it's exceedingly ghey how the whole city didn't just shut down for this. I don't care if the roads are passable...

Snow in ATL should be an occassion for closing everything and just enjoying the beauty. Let us return to the days of our youth and frolic in the snow.

Yeah, I had to do the same... I guess I worded that badly, but by closed till noon part I was referring to GA State (that I heard was opening at noon, but I dont think thats true anymore). Either way we got shafted.. again.

Surprise!

During my first quarter at Tech (Fall of '96), we had a snowstorm on the evening before the last Friday of finals. When I woke, there was about 3 inches on the ground. Of course, finals were not postponed at all -- so I had to sprint across campus in 20-degree weather and icy sidewalks to get to my final.

(Got an A in the class. ;) )

Roll it down a little further and the snow will head on in. Awesome.

My first winter in NJ I didn't know how to deal with snow... so one morning after some snow I opened up my driver door and sat halfway in the car (with my legs still on the ground), started the car, and turned on the windshield wipers. Basically, all the snow that got pushed off the windshield ended up on my pants and on my floormat. :( That sucked.

To me, that would be more of a common sense thing than a "not having any experience with snow" thing.

Thats what we get for having people from the North run the city....this little bit is no big deal.

However, I don't have school today :redspot thank God as well because I had a Computer Organization and Arch mid-term this morning

The big button on the front of the box that makes a whirring sound turns it on.

The box what has a TV screen on the front is called the monitor.

If you make a mistake, you can use the backspace key, rather than using whiteout.

What is the formula for a 3-bit comparator?

Suppose that one has a Selector in which one of the inputs (B) is the inverse of the other (A). Show what the Boolean formula for this selector would be.

In class, we showed how to calculate Ci+1 for an adder. What is C0 (the initial Carry-In bit)?

Previously, we said that in 2s complement subtraction, to calculate A-B, we negate B and add. We negate by inverting all the bits of B and then add 1. Show the Boolean equations for Si, Ci+1, C0 for a subtractor. Hint: Start with the equations for an adder. Then, invert your answer for C0 from question 3 above. Then invert all of the 2nd inputs for the adder.

can't these just be added in a calculator? Sounds like something they would give on the general section of the EIT....
