Well, having just owned my 98 M3/4 for over a month, I finally made it a point to be part of the bimmerforums community. It's been a long journey (career, wife, kids, etc) to M3-euphoria , but well worth it. My wife and daughter still see this car as "ordinary", but they know it puts a smile on my face when I get to run errands or drop the kids off to school. At least my 5-yr old son, upon first glance of the car, made it a point to look at the rear and exclaimed, "Look mom, it's an M3!"

Other vehicles owned or once owned:
- 92 Toyota Truck: owned since college
- 88 Camaro Z28: sold because expecting 1st child
- 89 Dodge Dynasty: sold because expecting 2nd child
- 99 Expedition: gift to wife for mother's day
- 03 Yamaha V-Star Custom: gift from wife because I didn't believe I would ever own an M3
- 98 M3/4: another gift from wife because she knew this was my dream car.

So, the lesson here is patience is a virtue....good things come to those who wait.....dreams do come true.....my wife rocks!!

I can finally say that I have experienced the ultimate driving machine. <pics to follow>

And that car is 7 model years old, AMAZING!!! That is one of the cleanest stock M3's I have seen. Congratulations man, that looks like a real gem.

Is that the silver one that was sitting on your lot Geordie? If so, sweet car! I've seen it in person already!

Nice car. I'm sure it'll continue to bring a smile to your face for many years to come. I've owned an M3 for 16 months now (wow, has it been that long?) and I still get immence gratification out of driving it.

The sound, the feel, the rush... it's a delight.

Tres jolie. Bienvenue.

You should bring her to installfest Sunday. Another M for me to drool over...

The e36 M3/4 is one of my all time favorites. Great choice!
