Well, having just owned my 98 M3/4 for over a month, I finally made it a point to be part of the bimmerforums community. It's been a long journey (career, wife, kids, etc) to M3-euphoria , but well worth it. My wife and daughter still see this car as "ordinary", but they know it puts a smile on my face when I get to run errands or drop the kids off to school. At least my 5-yr old son, upon first glance of the car, made it a point to look at the rear and exclaimed, "Look mom, it's an M3!"
Other vehicles owned or once owned:
- 92 Toyota Truck: owned since college
- 88 Camaro Z28: sold because expecting 1st child
- 89 Dodge Dynasty: sold because expecting 2nd child
- 99 Expedition: gift to wife for mother's day
- 03 Yamaha V-Star Custom: gift from wife because I didn't believe I would ever own an M3
- 98 M3/4: another gift from wife because she knew this was my dream car.
So, the lesson here is patience is a virtue....good things come to those who wait.....dreams do come true.....my wife rocks!!
I can finally say that I have experienced the ultimate driving machine. <pics to follow>
