I'm looking to get Pioneer nav unit, but unclear as to what the difference is b/t the AVIC-9DVD and AVIC-90DVD?? :dunno:
I think the 90DVD is the "newer" model, but just wondering...

You're right the 9 is older. Not sure of the exact differences between the 2 but I know it matters what you are using to control them.

I have the avic-80dvd. That is the 90 but with touchscreen support. They also killed the ability to use the unit as a DVD-player for movies.

Still works very well. I try to stay away from older products. Get the 90 or 80 if possible. If you are lookign to buy one let me know I can give u the link to the place I use.
