Yesterday, I'm northbound on US27 somewhere in Glades County. The speed limit is 65mph, very light traffic so I'm driving 68 -70mph despite having the V1 because there are not enough cars in front of me to pick up any rolling FHP using instant on.

Green VW Beetle passes me going just under 80mph with no obvious radar detector in the windshield. I let the Beetle go by and continue my leisurely pace. Shortly afterwards, I encounter a southbound FHP who hits me with instant on. I assume he did the same to the Beetle. What I find hard to believe is that he didn't turn around to get the Beetle in front of me going 80ish in a 65.

On the return trip, a pack of cars was going 100 - 110mph (my wife wouldn't let me follow for very long :( ) . This pack encountered the same FHP Camaro that I went by, and I find it hard to believe they were able to slow down to 65mph in time . . .

Do you think FHP has some type of V1 instant on detector or something and/or bias against Silver BMWs, b/c I'm beginning to think I'm the ony one being pulsed on Florida's highways.

You'd be suprised how many cars the police will overlook if they are "busy" at that point in time and how picky they will be when they have nothing to do. I've been pulled over for the most ridiculous things... and I've also been busted for doing 7 over the limit on I75.

I have the good side of the coin. I would get pulled over so often with my white toyota.
Is amazing the difference on driving my black bimmer. Somehow it doesn't call cops no even if am speeding.
Last time they took down a silver accord that was KEEPING UP WITH ME even when he was on the oposite side of the road for them. I already had my ticket_face when i saw the lights coming from the left intersection when i realized they where after the accord on my right. Good for me :)

Turnpike & Bird Rd (SW 40 ST) Toll plaza, 8.30 in the morning. If you do more than 25 on the sunpass lane of the toll = Instant ticket. A cruiser and a camaro are always waiting by the expressway exit...

No wonder why sometimes the sunpass lane is backed up more than 1 mile...

For those of us in Orlando...

FHP has done such a wonderful job keeping all opf the highways safe here in Central FL that anywhere from 6-10 of them will be on the 3-mile or so stretch between Sand Lake Road and John Young Parkway (Between Universal and SW of downtown..) in the morning.

They are uberagressive too.

Meanwhile.. 80 on the Turnpike and they could care less.

i totally lucked out this weekend . was doing a u turn on a yellow going to red. turned off traction control, snapped the rearend around, literally right in front of a motorcyle cop on the other side of the road. he pulled in behind me, and then passed me, w/o even a look. what do you have to do to get pulled over in miami? in new york i'm sure i would have been looking at jail time, lol
