-Michael McCoy
Sparc_it 02-20-2004, 12:21 PM I would join ya....but I am way out in Marietta (East Cobb)
Ron17 02-20-2004, 12:31 PM Interesting. I work in that area. Where are you going?
I AM HUNGRY NOW!! :mdrbig
techno550 02-20-2004, 12:38 PM we meet in the discover mills food court usually. all kinds of good choices there. we are open for other suggestions as well though.
-Michael McCoy
Ron17 02-20-2004, 12:40 PM Discover Mills food court sounds good. What time are you meeting there? My stomach... Sooo hungry... need Cheesy Poofs. Seriously.
I don't know what Steve looks like, so I'll be on the lookout for you. Do you remember what I look like? I'm wearing Khakis and a light blue shirt.
PS -- Do you prefer to be called Mike or Michael?

There was nothing wrong with that name, until that no-talent ass-clown started winning Grammys.
God I love that movie. Maybe I'll watch it this weekend. :D
techno550 02-20-2004, 01:00 PM either mike or michael will work. I'll answer to anything. People call me all sorts of things. ;)
I remember what you look like. Meet near the chilis, as thats a decently open area and near the door Steve and I usually come in.
I should be there at 12:30.
eat some cheezy poofs so you don't pass out on the way there...
-Michael McCoy
Ron17 02-20-2004, 01:03 PM See you there in a few.
I'll snack on something in the mean time... I'm a growing boy. :)
techno550 02-20-2004, 01:04 PM you sure thats the correct direction to be growing?
-Michael McCoy
Ron17 02-20-2004, 01:06 PM Yep. I'm growing like I want to be -- muscle-wise.
ArticM3 02-20-2004, 01:17 PM Hey Sparc_It, where in Marietta? I'm just off of I-75 and the South Loop.
Sparc_it 02-20-2004, 01:33 PM Roswell Rd. and Johnson Ferry.
I am up in Kennesaw quite often for school
Ron17 02-20-2004, 02:45 PM Lunch was good.
Mmmmm... Popeye's.
ArticM3 02-20-2004, 02:51 PM I'm about a mile from KSU (home).
Have to try and have lunch sometime.

Love that chicken from Popeye's.
Ron17 02-20-2004, 03:36 PM Kyle, you're in school and now you've got your car. What does this mean? Well, I'll tell you what it means...
It means that one day, you should bust out of Tech and head up our way and join us for lunch. M-kay?
Kyle K. 02-20-2004, 03:38 PM Were I to have seen this thread prior to me eating lunch today I would have. I had class from 11-12 though, and went straight to the house for lunch, then went to Sam's Club with some guys afterwards. I'm very rarely on the computer before 2ish so chances are I'll always miss these awesome luncheons unless they're planned the day before.
techno550 02-20-2004, 03:41 PM we can plan early for such activities.
-Michael McCoy
I was at discover mills with the lady friend today, didn't see you guys. I was there around 12 though and caught a movie after.
steved033 02-20-2004, 08:17 PM we usually get there at 12:30 or so and sit in the picnic tables onthe burgerking side....
BimmerDawg 02-20-2004, 08:40 PM I was in Athens at work, so I couldn't have made it.

I was parked outside of the movie theater. I just come down there time to time cause she lives down there (I'm in the Roswell area)
Sparc_it 02-21-2004, 01:40 PM Ouch, I used to date a girl that lived out by the Mall of GA....thats quite a haul

yup, 60+ mile roundtrip. She's worth it though :)
Sparc_it 02-21-2004, 08:00 PM I am glad yours is....mine wasn't :( I have bad luck
Do you go to school anywhere? Go up to UGA sometime, lots of hotties there.

Yeah...Kennesaw. Surprisingly there are TONS of hotties around there. I just seem to find every wrong girl. I just gotta keep on tryin though. I'll come across a diamond in the rough.
Ron17 02-23-2004, 10:28 AM My lady lives in Gainesville. She's looking to move to Sandy Springs, though.
It's about 45 minutes from her place to mine.

You're kidding, right?
Need I bring up the Douglasville-to-Pleasant-Hill-Rd-in-35-minutes run from the Arena game weekend?
You can be anywhere in Atlanta inside of one hour. I proved it. Rush hour notwithstanding, of course.:)
Ron17 02-23-2004, 11:23 AM No, I'm not kidding. It takes her about 45 minutes.
That's a decent time from Gainesville to Buckhead.
bcart1991 02-23-2004, 11:31 AM Wow, Gainesville... I forgot just how far out that is. Your girl lives even farther out in BFE than I do. 00:45 to Bucktown isn't that bad after all.
*yawn* Kinda sleepy this morning. Getting kicked outta bed for snoring sucks.
Ron17 02-23-2004, 11:32 AM
bcart1991 02-23-2004, 12:14 PM Yeah, I slept too much this weekend, too.
Tried to go to bed at a decent hour last night (10:30) and finally got to sleep around 1 or so.
Ron17 02-23-2004, 12:17 PM Got in bed about 10:20. Didn't fall asleep until after midnight.
I'm sick... again...
bcart1991 02-23-2004, 12:20 PM Tylenol Cold & Sinus caplets. Take 2 or 3 followed by a healthy dose of Nyquil red and some tussin with guafenisen.
Fix you up right.
Ron17 02-23-2004, 12:20 PM I need to be able to wake the next morning... not the following WEEK.
bcart1991 02-23-2004, 12:24 PM Details, details...
techno550 02-23-2004, 12:52 PM yeah, not much around atlanta that would be an hour from any other point. Even GT campus to UGA campus can be done in under an hour. :)
oh, and this is the late warning for todays lunch at DM at 12:30.

With light traffic and fortuitous traffic lights, as well as an absence of The Man, yes...
Sparc_it 02-23-2004, 01:20 PM I made it from my house in Roswell to one of my friend's apartments by Ptree. Corners and Ptree. Ind. in 10 min..a minute or 2 over. I kept a steady 110 on 285, puts a big smile on your face :D
bcart1991 02-23-2004, 02:50 PM Sometimes if I was running a *little* late for work, I would bump triple-digits down I-20 for the 6 miles between the apartment and work exits.
The 5 minutes to get to the interstate was just enough to get the engine warm...
Ron17 02-23-2004, 03:01 PM I usually hit triple-digits at least once a day.
bcart1991 02-23-2004, 03:08 PM I would, but the 4 stop signs in the half-mile make it tough...
Lately, getting through a few miles without overheating has been the goal. Hopefully that's all fixed now.

I guess I'm a big pussy... I hardly ever hit triple digits for fear of the man. Guess I need to get a radar detector one of these days, but I still wouldn't feel 100% safe unless I had that laser diffuser thingy also. :az: oh well.

No guessing going on here. :laugh

Our cars can get to 100 so quickly, this shouldn't be an issue. There are spots where, once you verify there are no cops on the medians or in front/behind you, you could open it up rather easily.
400 South, after the tollbooth, once you go thru the right, then the left-hand curves, it's straight, flat and open until the Lenox Rd. exit. You can see what's on the side of the road.
It's places like this that you can open it up without fear of being tagged by radar or laser. You don't need a radar/laser detector to go fast sometimes.. You only need those to go fast all the time.
Sparc_it 02-23-2004, 04:38 PM I have no early warning system but keen eyesight. I hit triple digits on my way to school about 15min ago...I left a 528 behind me :D
Just check the medians and shoulders....if they are shooting laser you are screwed whether or not you have a detector

yes, hit a buck 50 on that straight this morning. I'm sure a couple people thought the guy in the little yellow bmw was crazy (had to do it, trans am was sticking it close and I had to show that my cars got go :laugh )
Sparc_it 02-23-2004, 07:48 PM SHOW THOSE F-BODIES!!!!! :D
yeah, those guys always want to run it for some reason. Same result everytime. I think they don't have any juice past 100 cause i couldn't even see him anymore and he caught up to me a while after I merged onto 85.
