Just a show of hands, lemme know your bias or preferences about the 7 series :D

I voted e38 cuz my mommy used to own a 740il.....very nice imo.

You like the new ones dude?

I dunno, the new ones are starting to grow on me though.....but the 95-01 were so aggressive looking......

I like those too Hype, those kinda led the way for the aggressive styling of Bmw's........but then Bangle f*!ked it all up

The E65 is FUGLY. The drive & suspension improvements deserve a better looking body than the one they designed. My next car will be a Mercedes, unless of course Mr. Bangle goes to work in Stuttgart.

332's car is most likely a 99 sport...but I could be wrong.
I thought the blacked out trim was only on the 99 sport models.

My wife's is a 98. Totally new engine from a 2001 now as part of CPO.

u wrong, :nono Just kidding, it's a 2000. I didn't think they made a Sport in 98?? The Sport is the best model, only my opinion.

I would never claim that my car was the "sport" model...unless some poor sap was buying it and didn't know any better...then I'd lay it on him;) Just kidding.

I didn't know that the 2000 sport model had blacked out trim!
I agree with it being the "best" 7 series model.

The e38 is one beautiful car, the last Seven series worth owning imho. At least until there are some major modifications made to the upcoming e65, probably in 2004/5 after sales slide.

That's really pretty dude, I remember my moms old 95 740il with the 4.0 v8.....that thing hauled ass.....

How does the 4.4 work? And correct me if I am wrong, but that is the same 4.4 that is in my X5 right? :95

Guys,
My 97 740iL is being converted to 6 Speed manual with a S6S420G BMW trans using an E31 280mm clutch, coupled to a 75% lock 540i Sport limited slip diff.
Next May, I am in the One Lap of America, "Cannonball Run" with it.

Oh yeah, I also ordered an ESS 7lb. boost Supercharger for Baby too.:D

Check out my site.....it has my current mods and some track pix too.

Hey Bimmerhead - why don't you get more of your buddies from Bimmer.org over here...what you guys are doing to the 7 series should be archived and discussed on a more flexible forum;)

Guys,
I emailed this page to Big T and asked if he would like to come aboard. He & I met last April, and he is a real gentleman and he posesses a great deal of expertise on the E38. Hopefully he will join.

I don't know these guys. I've stopped having significant interest in my wife's car once I got mine. And I have a hard time going through Bimmer.org.
It seems like the moderators are constantly deleting threads.

I think it would be hard for them to switch, but I would really like to see their knowledge on this board.

Thanks for leading the charge.

was that an e32 or e38? the angle makes it hard to tell. the grill looks like e32, but I don't recognize the shape of the spoiler. i am probably missing an obvious clue.

Its an 88, or an 89, I cannot remember any more. As for the E number, sorry, I just don't know. If the pic looks funny thats because its backwards. Notice the air vent which should only be on the driver side of the car is on the left. I flipped it so that it would work with the other pic I had of my 325.

I gotta say, even as an E32 owner, the E38 is the prettiest iteration so far. I can give the E65 a pass IN BLACK, but otherwise.......er......uh.........

I wish BMW had retained the 8 series and put the 6.0 v12 in it.....can you imagine?
