Did you order those through Outkastaliens or through the Ebay guy? Are they 18x8's or 18x9's too? I ordered mine through Outkastaliens and they still aren't here. I can't decide if I should cancel the order and keep the money, or if I should wait for the wheels.

Got a little sun today!!!

Anybody know a good place to get new silver lug nuts for my new wheels. What size lock nuts do I need???

Hey DravisAR,

Know a good place to get wheels mounted and balanced somewhere in seattle???? I just got my tires in.

I just used my oem lugs. they seem way better made than the others I bought (and returned), plus the new ones were too long to fit anyways. get locks too. almost there! looking forward to your ride pics :D

flea7
02-20-2004, 04:05 AM
well, They are black. how do they look??

DravisAR
02-20-2004, 04:40 AM
I'd pretty much say any kind of firestone style place will do it well...just request to watch them do it, so you can make sure they dont scratch up the rims. I usually do that a couple times until I trust the guys. Once ya bullshit with them for awhile they can be pretty cool. Then again, im a paranoid asshole when it comes to my cars and always request to watch them work on my car, as I cant mount and balance my own stuff :)

What color is your car? Snap up some pics once you get those bad boys on!

I have anarctic silver 328i. no mods. I have those ugly bottle caps on right now so the evo's should improve its appearance.

What is a reasonable price for all four mount and balance?

bimbum
02-20-2004, 06:18 AM
black lugs look fine. they're so small and recessed in there anyways. matches the black shadow of the EVO spokes too. my vote is you save your money on new lugs. my wheel pics on this thread (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=172863)

oh yeah a trick I heard, was to mount the tires on from the back of the rim. that way any scratches will be hidden to the inside. but a competant shop should be able to do the job with no damage regardless.

flea7

I think your right bimbum. I think I will use the black lugs. What kinda locks did you use???

bimbum
02-21-2004, 01:18 AM

What kind/size of tire did you use, do you have any rubbing??

...just got my evos and still trying to decide on the tires.

SupaBimma

265/35/18 tires on stock suspension shouldn't rub huh?

so is that a yes or no?

jar_e_d is
04-10-2004, 10:01 AM
that's a DEFINATE no. 225's sometime rub in the back so ther is no way (w/out MAJOR modification) that 265's would fit.

SupaBimma
04-10-2004, 03:50 PM
hmm, even 265 35 on stock suspension? hmm, i guess i'll have to used my 255's then

i have 265's in the rear..i have 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the back.. and my car doesnt rub. i have a 325i sedan. it only rubs with my fenders wen i go over a big bump. and i have h&r sport springs on mine. how to i post up pics on here..i tried clicking that insert image button..but i dont know how to paste the pictures on.. can someone tell me how.

did you use those hub adapters (to get rid of vibration)?? if so where did you get them and for how much.

any vibration?

Nope.

FrozenSTIFF
06-04-2004, 06:19 PM
I also didn't have to use the hub adapters for my 97 M3 sedan. The rims were a nice tight fit on my hubs, just like the stocks wheels, so I assume the EVO's are hub-centric for my application. No vibrations at any speeds (at least up to 120mph). Actually it took me a few days to get used to the steering which was virtually vibration free compared to my stock wheels.

If any EVO owner needs the aluminum hub adapters, PM me.

ORDERED my set, they are the staggered bright silver 18x8,18x9 HP evos. There has been a minor delay but b/c of the delay I will be getting free Aluminum hub adapters free so either way i should be set. I will take pics as soon as they are done.

what size tire are you puting on the 18x9?

SupaBimma
06-05-2004, 02:25 AM
most probably 255's, if i do some extreme fender shaving I will later try 265's so i can get traction for the TS.
