Just got back from the Triad Sports Car Club test and tune / autocross.
Out of four bimmers running, there were two casualties.
One black 95 32x with M3 body kit...broken radiator neck while on course. Had to get towed an hour and a half back to Raleigh. :( (he was at 105K miles, right on schedule)
One silver E36M3. When this guy took right handers, it looked like the LR wheel was literally going to come off. He had so much positive rear camber that the scuffing on the tire was about 1/4" shy of gouging his Schnitzer wheels. Brand new coilovers installed...I don't know how whomever installed them didn't notice the lower control arm was kinked like a dog's hind leg.:dunno It was ugly. We advised him to call it a day after his second run.
Overall, a bummer for the marque. Next month (when the points count), we need to represent.
