Ok here is the story...

First Race
My girlfriend and I were going to her house to pick up some stuff. And on the way some car with HID lights is coming by fast. And I'm wondering what it is, so I slow down a bit. And when it passes I thought it was a Miata, but when i look closer it was a Maserati Spyder. And so I try catch up to him and I'm right behind him. And then he speeds up and we're going about 100 mph or so. And I get right next to him and i pace him for a bit. Then I pressed the downshift paddle down to 3rd and I gun it and its a little clear up ahead. And just as I thought he went for it. So far from 100-120 his front is even with my back. Then we reach up to 140 and his front is at my door and it stays that way until i shut it down at 160mph. Oh man what an amazing race. After the guy is right behind. Then m exit is coming and he exits too and I'm thinking "Maybe he wants to go again" But he pulled next to me and gave me a thumbs up cuz i was going left and he was going right. Cool guy.

Second Race
Ok after leaving my girlfriends house, we go to my house. And on the way to my house I pass up an Evo. So I slow down and try to pace the Evo. And when I looks at the driver it was a girl. And i was like "Aww man she won't race" So i downshift and just gun it. But to my surprise she follows. And I'm like YES!! another race. So I slow down a bit to let her catch up. When she did we slowed down to about 80-85 mph. And its clear road ahead too. I wait to see if she will make the move first but she doesnt, so i do. Then I'm about 1/2 a car length ahead. Then around 120 shes right about where my back tires are. And it pretty much stays that way so i shut it down at around 145-150 mph. But she didn't stop, she kept going. And my girlfriend said "HAH BITCH!" and i started laughing. My exit came up and I didn't notice I passed the Evo, cuz she flies right by me. And my girlfriend and I were like "Uh OK" She made a left and i made a right.

Man 2 awesome races!! And my night isn't over yet either. HAH! Might get luck again tonight.

WannaM: According to their site, the Maserati Spyder has 390bhp and 330 lb-ft torque. It also says it does 0-60 in 4.9 secs with a top speed of 176 mph.

heh the maserati was catching up only cuz i had my girlfriend in the car so i shut it down before he could catch up with me =P hahaha so i can say i beat a maserati hahaha!!

Great races...


Maserati's are very fast cars. Only about 2000 or so are around, so consider it VERY rare that you got to race one. I'd be careful though, with 390hp, and 4.2L (basically an enlarged 360 modena motor) this race could have easily gone sour for you. The Mas coupes weigh about 3500lbs, and spyders are only about 150lbs heavier. Also, the tranny's are Ferrari's version of your SMG. Depending on what mode the guy had the car in, the shifting speed might have made a dramatic difference. HOw do I know this? I work for the company (Ferrari Maserati North America) and I have driven the cars's many many times. I've even driven your smg m3 when BMW NA and us swapped cars for a week or so.

and they are still ugly

a3ternus 120km/h thats like 80mph, damn.
I had one of my ex's embed her nails into my arm while i was racing doing over 120mph with some civic in my teggy.
sad part was I didnt notice until after the adrenaline wore off...
