Oxford Green. ///MDriver 02-01-2004, 12:04 PM Do not forget that there are the custom order individual colors. Bailey 02-01-2004, 04:53 PM how much do you have to pay for custom order? Or is that for a color that they currently sell, and $2500 is for a color that they have to mix to order? John H 02-03-2004, 02:58 AM What greens are available custom order?? I was *this* close to placing an order for a no-optioned E46 M3 with British Racing Green (the color from the '95 GT) as an "Individual" color, but was told it was no longer available. Basically, the short story was the color has to be in current production on some BMW car. I'm not sure what other greens BMW offers besides Oxford... Does anyone else have any information? - John, still deciding what to replace his '95 M3 with. M3325 02-03-2004, 12:56 PM Fern Green- on late e36 and early e46 Boston Green PaulSoo217 02-03-2004, 04:51 PM i thought bmw individual is not avail on e46 m3's, 'cause their official website only had 3 and 7's to play with. dhruvp 02-03-2004, 08:32 PM oh no, its available, look at my sig! John H 02-04-2004, 05:05 AM fern and boston? yuck (no offense to anyone who likes those colors)... both have too much blue in them. i personally like Oxford more than either of those. But what I really want is a non-metallic green with a yellow base, as opposed to blue. *sigh*... Even Lotus has gone to metallic on their "Racing Green" color. Is there any car offering a good british racing green these days? i guess I just must have unpopular bad taste (which wouldn't surprise me)... - John Pinecone 02-13-2004, 07:15 PM There is a list of certain current BMW colors that are now officially available on US cars.. Something like 12 more colors. $2000 up charge, but no metallic charge, so the net cost is $2000 for non-metallic, $1500 for metallic (considering metallic is normally $500 extra). bren 02-13-2004, 08:59 PM Originally posted by John H What greens are available custom order?? It is my understanding that any color BMW ever used is available as a special order. :dunno You might want to check with other dealers....some don't want to, or aren't interested in doing difficult special orders. Not in the US. You are talking about BMW INdividual, but BMW NA doesn't do that for US customers. The problem is in the US, you can order the car, then decide you don't want it, complete with Light Violet interior, Pink exterior, with bright green highlights. Hard to sell. In the most ofthe rest of the world, when you order a car, you buy it, like it or not. No second thoughts, no remorse, its YOURS. hsmith 02-14-2004, 01:19 PM Originally posted by daihard This is Oxford Green Metallic. http://daihard.home.comcast.net/images/newm3_08g.jpg http://daihard.home.comcast.net/images/newm3_07w.jpg daihard, Nice M3, love the color.:redspot daihard 02-14-2004, 07:59 PM Originally posted by hsmith daihard, Nice M3, love the color.:redspot Thanks! :D bren 02-14-2004, 09:59 PM Originally posted by Pinecone Not in the US. Well, I think most dealers will try their best to avoid a situation like you talked about by saying it can't be done, but if you are able to convince them that you want it badly enough they can make it happen. I got a euro only interior in my car (Leather/Cloth) with no hassle what-so-ever. This guy was able to get his car through Individual: CLICK (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum//showthread.php?s=&threadid=177054). And there is a guy in the NCC with an E46M3 that most definitely has an idividual color...it's some sort of Merlot. :dunno edit: John, sent you a PM PB_M3 02-17-2004, 12:39 PM John H- The dealer that I am working with me right now has had no problem thus far ordering me a LeMans Blue 330ci performance package. If you want, I acn give you his number. PM me. |
