well,, i'm on hwy 60 in brandon and there is this red acura with all kinds of mouldings/ flares, wings, etc.
i think i saw an intercooler as it came up on me too.
i nailed the throttle from the light and kept it too the floor, but he caught me and passed. i could hear that little engine screaming, and of course he had the big muffler on it. did i mention that i wasn't in my car at the time? lol ,, i was in a 2001 323, green w/ tan leather. very nice car,,, but has the auto and is slow. it's buttery smooth, but i can't drive it like mine! with my car, all i have to do is aim and it's there. with this one you actually have to look at the traffic and make sure it's safe to enter or change lanes, etc. w/ my car, you only need a little opening because it's gone in a blink!
what stinks is that on i75, there was one of those ninja like motorcyles and if i would have been in my car, i would have raced. but in this thing,,,, the motorcycle wouldn't have known even if i was trying!! it took like 10 seconds or more to go from 65 to 85 mph! all these opportunities,, and i'm in the wrong car.
i was in the 323 as a loaner while they were doing CPO warranty work on my car. my power steering was leaking, so they fixed it for me,,, sweet!!! Reeves bmw in tampa is quite friendly when helping out.

My jaw dropped when I saw the mighty tampaturbo was dethrowned by a red acura. I began to felt dizzy that a 11.8 second M3 was put to shame by an Acura (mind you i loved my integra GSR -- but it was no M3).:eek:

Then I read on and saw you were driving the loaner... that put my heart to rest. Phew!

i just did a similar post on the drag racing club board, badrap.com. they seem to not like "rice cars" as they put it,, so i thought i would give them a scare too. it should get some interesting responses. they know my car pretty well,, so it will get their attention!

I couldn't agree more! EVERY time I get in my gf's car to my 50mile commute to work I ALWAYS run into all the Mustang GTs and Z28 Camaros and other M3s. Then I get in mine and it's always the same cars but in 6-cyl versions only! Never any other M3s and never any
luck!

The only chance I had was this past Tuesday, this Z28, Mustang GT, tricked out Hamann 328 and RX-7 all pass me in like a minute in the carpool lane, and I was stuck in traffic! Only race I got in today was this damned Domino's Pizza truck, who even flashed me when I rocketed forward (yes I was bored). I couldn't tell he was trying to race until I reached like 40mph.

And just recently I was on a toll road in the middle of nowhere, and JUST when I'm luckily in my M3 this guy in a 540i wants to go for it, as he's jerking forward next to me at 70mph. It just so happened that THAT was the only day I had to ride on this RR corded tire (long story)! I didn't want to risk it with my gf in the car. I so wanted to race that guy. Oh well. see it?, heck,, i was in it and all over it. it tried to post the pics, but the files are too big cause i used HQ on my camera instead of regular. they are getting a demo car in 2 weeks and tom's going to call me to drive it....hehe
i don't know why they would get a demo car that they cant sell from...... the list has been shut off cause 40 arealready on it and delivery is over 2 years out. kind of crazy....

My car is in the shop too, so I have an old Jeep.
Of course a 330 ci and and a Carrera were racing past me last weekend.

I felt like Superman when he gives up his powers for that bony chick Lois. Useless..:(
