View Full Version : Do most of you have Power Seats/HK/Sunroof?
///Arman 01-29-2004, 04:23 PM I'm helping a friend of mine buy an E46 M3 and a lot of people we call don't have either none or only one of these options. Most are missing the power seats for sure....
Is this common not to have power seats?
The HK I can understand.......how about sunroof? isn't it standard?
PaulSoo217 01-29-2004, 04:33 PM i got sunroof, regular pwr seats (no side bolster adj), no hk.
Kevlar 01-29-2004, 04:44 PM I got every option they had except SMG and the Cold Weather Package (which I wish I got now).
Some people get manual seats because it's a huge weight savings. I think each seat is 72lbs plus the sunroof is another 70lbs.
M3 2 NV 01-29-2004, 04:58 PM I have all the options and do not regret any of them.

I like what I see in your sig! My friend also wants a Phoenix yellow, hopefully with all options or most at least...
How does the EISENMANN sound on yours? I know for the E36s its definitely THE meanest exhaust.
Lemming 01-29-2004, 06:17 PM None of the above on mine and I don't miss them, especially considering the weight savings that Kev mentions. And yes, PY rules.
GabbyGM3 01-29-2004, 06:45 PM I have all three and don't regret any of it. I think 2001-2003 had standard power seats right?
Kevlar 01-29-2004, 09:48 PM Nope... power seats are optional (they come in the premium pkg).
Sunroof is also optional
Im-Quik 01-29-2004, 10:57 PM I wish I got the HK.. I thought I was going to put a system in my car. I wish I got the HK... But I got the Sunroof, power, and Cold Weather. I will trade you the cold weather package for the HK Kev...?

12:03 01-30-2004, 12:43 AM When I get one *and Im holding out for the right one* it will NOT have sunroof or power seats....
I dont want power cause I dont change my seat position that often and also the weight savings.
The sunroof is just for the lower CG.
These things I hope will make some sort of difference to me.

I have the HK sound and power seats, but not a moonroof.
Im-Quik, I don't think you're missing much. I wish I hadn't gotten my car with the HK system. It sounds good but IMO it doesn't give you the money's worth. I'd have spent $700 on an Alpine MP3/CD head unit and an amp.

I love the sound of it. Deep and it can scream too. I thought it was going to be louder than it is :dunno The look of it is awesome, big and beefy.
Arman, I've heard and driven the Eisenman Race and the most mellow one and they just don't sound that nice to me. I'd take the sound of my AA on an E36 anyday. The E46's just won't sound nice until the buzz is taken out. The Eisenman tend to drove while on the freeway too. IMO. Everyone has their own idea of what a good exhaust sounds like. I'd take a SuperSprint over the Eisenman. That thing is quiet until you get on the gas, but still has the buzz.
dhruvp 01-30-2004, 01:57 PM check the sig for what i'm getting on mine!
SLVR M 01-30-2004, 02:13 PM I'm looking at a new 03 Topaz with gray leather as the only options for 43.4

I highly disagree on that, I know everyone has their opinion, but Supersprint is in no way louder or sound in any way better than any other exhaust out there, SS is very close to stock, can barely tell there is an exhaust.
There has not been one person that has heard my exhaust and doesn't agree that its one of the loudest/meanest exhausts for the M3. I have to say this though, it DOES sound louder IMO on 95s so that might have played a factor in your judgement also.
LandShark 01-31-2004, 12:57 PM I have sunroof and pwr seat (premium pkg), but no HK. planned to have my own aftermarket audio system anyway, never have stock sounds on any of my cars.
MAB Badgerbimmer 01-31-2004, 04:06 PM nope, nope and nope weigh to much!

Now I think about it, I should have ordered my power seats without leather... that would have saved some weight + $1,100!
