just dreaming ... if the Z4 had a V8 option available (from 745 or M5) available (and appropriate suspension/brake upgrades), what would you expect to pay for it?

As a fully equiped 3.0 runs just shy of $50k, I'd say an equiped with the 4.4L V8 from the 545i/745i would run ~$60k.

I'd love it if I had the cash(and if it was balanced ok...would think it would add some weight to the front...).
But I think I'd much rather something more akin to the s54(maybe something ~3.5L)...a nice high revvying I6 seems just more appropriate to a roadster then a big, low(lower at least) revving v8 w/gobs of torque.

$60,000? $70,000??

NO!
You can get this for a low low price of $19.95!

:D

In all seriousness, I think that would be a hot ticket if they did a few up like the Z8! Doesn't even need the M5 engine. The 4.4 would be just fine.

I think there are some tuners in Europe doing this conversion with an M5 engine right now, and the car is running in the neighborhood of $100k.
