All,

We may get a vehicle (non-BMW SUV) that has the Bluetooth wireless system built in, and I am a neophyte when it comes to cell phones. As an example, I still have a Nokia 6162 that weights as much as a house!

So, for you wireless experts out there, who makes a good BT phone? And, any idea whether AT&T Wireless offers one as part of a plan?

Yes, I will talk with them directly, but I wanted some inside scoop first (group hug).

Finally, does/should the phone cost a bunch more than one w/o BT?

TIA,

-Reed

I've had a lot of problems with the Sony Ericsson T68, but last week I upgraded to the T616 (w/ Camera). I'd highly recommend this phone - it's the best Bluetooth phone that AT&T Wireless has, and they'll give it to you for $50 if you're an existing customer upgrading your phone and are willing to sign up for another two years.

You'll also want to get a BT headset. I have the Jabra and it is EXCELLENT. You'll never want to use a wired headset again.

Good stuff, thanks.

And, haven't seen your name here before, welcome (plus you're local).

Have you heard about the Seattle7s yet?

I wouldn't exactly call myself and active member, but this is a great group of folks who love E38s...

The old (not really) Ericsson T39 has built in BT and was much smaller than the T68. I have yet to find any phone that would please me as much as it. And it's a few years old on the tech too!
