Hello California locals...I've never posted on this part of the forum...but I thought this might be a good place to ask for a Body Shop recommendation. The M was hit last night  It doesn't look too bad, but it's scratched and the diffuser doesn't match up exactly with the bumper...

Anyone out there have a recommendation on a body shop? I live in the SF/Bay area...In particular I was hoping for a shop in the East Bay or North Bay...

Thanks in advance...

Billy

Everyone has told me wonderful things about EMC here in Fremont. Its where BMW of Fremont (no longer claridges) takes their cars for body work.

Thank's SR20...I'll probably get two or three quotes...I also got a recommendation for Brook's Mortor Car near Oak Int'l...ever heard of them?

nah I've only lived here for like 6 months. If you're looking to get a high estimate, EMC is supposedly pretty pricey. Incase you want to get a few body mods in with the damage lol. I'll keep my eye open for some good shops for ya though.

Try doing a search to get more suggestions but Sunnyvale Auto Body is great with BMWs.

i got my whole rear quarter panel fixed by a place in walnut creek.

he even had some paint left over to paint my door handles.

very cool guy. if you just need a high quote talk to him and tell him and bring him someone else's quote so he can copy and add some things to bring up cost.

Thanks guys...I wish I had the time to go to San Jose to get it done by B-Line...too far...But I think EMC maybe my next choice...
Also, I will do a search on this site...If anyone has other suggestions...I'm all ears...

Johnny got his whole M3 repainted by some guys and his car looks beautiful. They sanded down the whole thing and took the car apart and painted each part seperately. I'll ask where he took his.

Danggg...nice paint job. That's Estoril right? I've heard that if I make a big stink over color matching I might be able to get my car repainted...Not sure though how that all works...

RRdawho: Let me know who did that guys paint...Looks really good.

Well if it just the bumper cover (rear) you can get the estimates and insist on a new cover with mouldings. Then just do the labor your self (remove and replace 45-1 hour tops)Take it to a shop to paint. And have a few bucks for your trouble and a spare rear bumper to sell or keep.

Ahh...I like your thinking...I'll consider it...

Plus its not ripping anyone off. They will pay you the estimate amout which should be fair from any shop. The painting runs about 200. The estimates are all done on computer anyway. The other persons insurance should send an adjuster to look at the damage.

I would have said bline or campbell collision center... but that would be too far away from you.

check pacificbmw if you want to order a new bumer cover... their prices are cheap.

I would second EMC in Fremont, I hear good stuff about them all the time. Some ricer hit my dads 7er and they replaced his bumper and did a great job. Its pricey though.
