Bryan and other racers,
According to my 04 GCR the 95 M3 is classified in T2 for 04. What happens in 05? Would the car still be legal but just cannot recieve any competition adjustments? Per the GCR nothing older than 1995 is legal.
On a related note, for 04 anyway, would an I stock car be legal for T2? Looks like it per the GCR but I was not 100% sure. So much to interpret there.
Thanks for the info guys.

A) An I-Stock car CAN be legal for T2, depending on how it's prepared. I-Stock rules allow more mods than T2 rules (chip, different weights, shocks, etc). You CAN prepare the car to T2 standards and run it in I-Stock easily though, with the understanding that it simply won't be prepared to the extent of the rules in I-Stock. Kathy Lyle run both series in her T2 MCoupe.

B) I believe the way the T2 rules read is that you can't run a model more than 5 years old. Since 1999 was the last year for the E36 M3, all E36 M3's become inelligible after 2004 (5 years later). Essentially, you have this season to run T2...though it's possible the car may remain elligible on the Regional level. I'm not sure how that works...regardless, it's not a great regional class, as most T2 drivers run Nationals with an aim at the runoffs.
