Has anyone bought and installed this spoiler on their E39?
Please post some suggestions and pics if any, I'm thinking about making this my first body upgrade.

Check out Vietsb's car on Bimmerfest. The spoiler is a nice and less expensive alternative to the whole m5 front bumper. You can get it for about $320 from Pacific BMW, and I believe it comes with the glue/ tape, etc to mount it.

bmw aerodynamics front spoiler. like everybody said, it's an OE item.
info from vietsb: http://www.bmwdiy.info/lip-spoiler/index.html
it's one of my favorite lip spoilers for the e39. very clean.

I put one on my car. Sure makes the front end look a lot more aggressive than the stock "no chin" look. I like the looks of the Breyton I but it is $550 and the BMW spoiler was $300 from Pacific. The only problem I have is that people see an aggressive car coming and try to cut me off more often. I took mine to my body shop buddy to have it painted and installed. The guy who did the installation said it was the easiest front spoiler he had installed because it was made by BMW to FIT. I do believe it basically glues on with only a couple screws on the underside. Here are a bunch of pics of guys with that same spoiler: http://www.bmwtips.com/ Go to the gallery.
Just ordered from Crevier BMW in Calif. $312 plus $48 to ship UPS to MD. I should have by next Friday.
It is primarily glued on. Make sure that the kit comes with the instruction booklet.
Also, if you want it done right, have a professional body shop install it. They may suggest taking the front bumper cover off, but thatis no big deal.
Mine cost $500 shipped, painted and installed.
Well worth it.

I have it on my 97 540. Looks real nice!! Just enough to stand out but not to over the top. Very euro style.
