Hi, I got a deal from my mother friend for a 1989 e34 525i in white with 200k miles for 1300. The outside is in pretty good condition and interior seems to be alright. Is there any major problems with the e34 in 1989? Anything I could check before i am buying it? Thanks

ya watch out for the trans program error. high mileage e34's like that error. try revving your motor (take it to red) a few times and make sure it doesn't pop up. that problem left me stranded a few times. i heard it can also come if your alternator is bad but caveat emptor...
