Do any of you happy Z4 folks have SMG? I've read all the contradictory reviews, and I'd like to hear from someone who actually owns one.

I have a '04 Z4 with SMG. I am pretty happy with it. My g/f can drive it just fine, she prefers the paddles since she has an Audi A4 with a manual. I like the "stick" myself, but use the paddles as well. Anything you wanted to know about it in particular? It has taken about 1000 miles for the tranny to break in though. It's not quite as rough now. I like it in sport mode though with full throttle shifts! :D :D :D

I have the SMg also and really enjoy it. Had the ECU replaced, they had a problem with them pre Aug 2003 production but fine ever since. 11k miles and smooth.....
