View Full Version : NJ Insurance Companies
Hey,
i'm looking to get an M3 but i'm not sure what insurance company to go with. Can everyone here be kind enough and post how much you are paying and what company you are with. Or what company to avoid or what company to use?
I tried NJdrvier.com and haven't heard back. Thinking about First trenton or Ryan and Hanson. Any suggetions?
Hell, if you know a kick ass agent out of NJ that's willing to insure me, i'll take that too! Thanks!!!
Dan
PS: i wonder why i typed Dan since my sig and my SN says it all... i'm with stupid....
riz75 01-05-2004, 06:19 PM i use ALLSTATE. i have 5 points, am 28yrs old and am not married. they quoted me about $5k/year w/a $1k deductable.
I have tired to contact 5 insurance companies and 2 on line and none have gotten back to me yet... seems like a PITA process.
riz75 01-05-2004, 07:30 PM i've always had allstate so it wasn't a problem. what company did you use for your 300z
///M3 CRAZY 01-05-2004, 07:52 PM i use liberty mutual. it used to be more expensive by a few hundred and now in the age group i am in they are the cheapest.. $3400 per year.
Was with State Farm and was very satisfied until they started cutting down on their insured. They did not have the funds to carry as many people as they were so they were forced to drop people. Since I was with them for less than 5 years I was at risk of being dropped so I went to First Trenton. They had the best rates that I've found, about $25/year less than The Farm. Never filed a claim with either so I can't tell you what that's like.
First Trenton... OK, so i called a list of agents on their site and not a single one of them is giving me a quote. How do i get insured by these ppl?
Holy shit!!! I just called up one company and they quoted me $1,381 for the beater (and i mean beater) i am looking to get. the beater plus the M3 they quoted me $5,001!!!! holy fuck!!!!
on the phone with NJ cure right now... let the party begin....
themadhatter 01-06-2004, 03:01 PM this week, I was in the same boat as you. my personal insurance was running me $4509 from NJDriver.com for the renewal for just the bimmer.
I just got off the phone with my commercial insurance agent and bought "percieved value" insurance for $2200. insured for $25k value for loss - 1m, 1m, 1m all around with all the bells and whistles.
oh yeah, my bimmer is my company car.
I'm off to pay them right now. :redspot

OK!!! OMG!!!! NJCURE ROCKS!!!
$2,820 for Both a beater and a M3.. beater gets liability and M3 gets FULL 500
i think we found a winner!!!!!
themadhatter 01-06-2004, 05:56 PM nice, now you've got 10 business days before they'll write your policy.
-Ron
ron - yeah, that blows... wait on this and wait on that... i guess the first time is always the hardest (not in bed at least hehe).
themadhatter 01-06-2004, 07:00 PM lol - yeah, usually it's pretty quick at that moment. :D
insurance in general sucks, I get my insurance on the 10th (bought it today)....ironically, just in time for the meet! :buttrock
though I only have to wait 4 days, it's still 4 days.
health insurance can be even worse.
-Ron
I hate this 10 day wait.. it feels like forever!

How the hell did you get state farm!?!?!? They moved out of Jersey.
I had state farm for my Z but it was in GA so it was really really cheap ($1300/yr for FULL coverage plus loaner and Road Side and every other extras under the sun).
