I'm currently using the "California Car Duster" to remove the light dust that collects on my car each morning after it's overnighted in my apartment complex.

Just wondering if anyone has any better method to keep their car dust free with minimum micro scratches to the paint.

I'd dust it off aftere you put it up each night. Not first thing in the am.

Let your car be. The more you 'touch' your car the more micro marring (swirls) you will put in it. You can't expect a daily driver to look like a show car every second of every day.

Dust and pollen seem to be easily removed at speeds above 90mph with minimal effort on the part of the driver.....:atom

kyle k..what are you talking about...its a spray with some form of clay in it...not like your throwing globs of brown shit all over your car..additionally the spray comes out clear..if you checked the link and read the description for it then you wouldnt sound so ridiculous yourself..

Quik Clay Detailing System

Every day, vehicle paint finishes are bombarded with a wide variety of airborne contaminants. Here are just a few of those that can cause the surface to become dull and rough: tree sap mist; paint overspray; industrial fallout; hard water deposits; diesel fuel exhausts; rubber particles from other cars; insect droppings; Bug splatter _ And much more! The Meguiar's Quik Clay Detailing System safely and quickly removes all these contaminants and restores crystal clear reflections and slickness. The Quik Clay system includes a specially formulated non-abrasive clay bar that safely lifts off the contaminants as the surface is lubricated with Quik Detailer. Instantly, paint is restored to a shiny, smooth as glass finish and is ready for wax protection to be added. Without this technology, many car owners would have been left with only more expensive alternatives to restore their investment.

so next time...check things out before you open your mouth so you dont sound foolish..

Sorry dude, but you're the one who sounds like a fool. Jyep asked how to remove light dust on a daily basis and you recommended clay. Do you honestly clay your car every day??? I should hope not. Clay is a function that should be performed during a full detail once every six months. Please re-read the claying description you posted above. Does it sound like something that's made to remove dust on a daily basis????

I didn't think so.

I think you're confusing the clay system with the quick detail spray that comes with the clay system. The quick detailer itself is an option to remove dust on a daily basis, but NOT with the clay.

david and kyle..my mistake..i looked at the bottle I have the Quick detailer Mist and wipe. not the clay. mixed up the two when i was searching on the website. although the quick detailer mist and wipe does work great for getting dust off etc.. every single day. sorry for the confusion.. and its not 10 anymore..its $5 or 7 in 16 oz and 32 oz bottles respectively
