Saw one the other day while in my blue M3. About the same color. Big twin stainless exhausts, same body style as the G35 coupe. I didn't get a chance to play chase with him very much...I was laughing too hard about the Black Mercedes G500 that hung with me into triple digits just a few minutes before. Had no idea those big bricks could go that fast.

Is Nissan importing Skylines now? Which of the various drivetrains can you get? Just curious.

The next generation skyline is based on our G35 coupe. No G35 coupe in Japan. G35 coupe in japan = Skyline.

Really doubt it was grey market though.

Definitely a new car, not an older JDM import, and it had "Skyline 350 GT" insignia at the upper right corner of the trunk area. Exhaust tips looked larger than a G35 coupe, but still looked factory Guess I should have hammered after him on Mercury Blvd. and asked a few questions. It looked quick, but not twin-turbo quick.

I know of whom you are talking about. It's a blue G35 Coupe with the Skyline badge on the back of it. I think he's running on 19" HREs or something of that sort. He does run a 150- shot though, so that helps make up for the lacking of power.

Where do you live? I happen to live in BFE also. :)

the G35 is pretty quick.. and the Import Skyline would probably be exaclty the same unless it was the AWD. No turbos until the R35.. which isn't out yet.

I live on a farm north of Charlottesville, commute to Springfield a few days a week, and spend lots of time in the VB and OBX areas. Flyfishing, searching for the perfect crab cake, etc.

He didn't seem quick enough to be running nitrous at the time. I kept close without trying really hard, but maybe he was just cruising, too.

So who has the big black G500 that was barreling along I-64 at 130+ mph?

lol a G500 @ 130+?! that's a brave soul.. that thing might be an awesome truck(I personally love it), but it would scare the shit outta me to drive a breadbox shaped thing like that, that fast.
