Hi,
The headunit is an Alpine CVA-1005 installed by the PO. Sometimes the radio will not power on and usually fiddling with the radio fuse will fix it. However, since the last time i did this, the video bypass has stopped working; I receive the "Video turned off for your safety" message whenever trying to view the screen.
There is a lit toggle switch installed at the back of the sunglass holder, so i removed the OBC & Sunglass compartment to check the wiring of the switch. I found that three of the wires attached to the switch were disconnected (three wires because it's a lit switch.) So i re-connect the wires, however i'm still receiving the error. I'm also doing their fancy sequence, substituting the toggle switch for the ebrake.
anyone have any suggestions ? How would I know if there was a "black box" installed ?
Sorry if i'm sounding inexperienced, but i haven't fiddled with stereo installs in a while (due to issues like this).
Thanks a ton in advance !
