Theres basically 1 manual any good.. and what everyone uses

the bentley service manual... its about 50 bucks and a few inches thick

*I* dont think its too hard to do service on the bmw... its got the correct setup.. front engine RWD so the stuff isnt so hard to get to

I do all my own maintenance and some repairs as I go along.. its not hard at all really

I dont see why you would buy it before the car...

I dont see how it could hurt anyway.. you could always resell it here or on ebay or somehwere liket hat if you dont end up buying a bmw

You can get bentley manuals from amazon.co.uk, they are about 40 quid... They don't go into much details over 320's though, as it wasn't a US model..

Between a 318 and a 320, I'd go for 320 - it's a lot smoother and makes nicer noises, but only a tad quicker...

try to look into Hanes Manuals (they're not as detailed as Bentley). You can also search for both on Ebay. Most sellers ship worldwide. I've got my Hanes for $3.00

Haynes are easy to get in the UK - any car parts shop has them for about £13..
