Any of you ordering at under MSRP. Figures these car sell themselves so not a lot of negotiating, or is there? With how well the resale is on these things it seems to pay to buy new, any reason someone shouldnt?

Kevlar 12-16-2003, 12:08 PM I got my car for MSRP... but I got a few goodies to go along with it. 12:03 12-16-2003, 12:30 PM It seems to me that it could be a matter of location. For example you *likely* wont get anything below MSRP in say Southern Cal, or Texas. But if you lived in indiana where the demand wasnt so high maybe you could work something out. That is my observastion anyway. Kevlar did you order of was it just there and happen to be the one you wanted? I went into the dealership early March 2002... put down an order for the first MY03 they were going to take delivery of. I ended up choosing my options sometime in August after BMWNA released the options list for MY03. Picked up the car 10/16/02. Left for my road trip 10/17/02, got my first traffic ticket... 10/17/02... less than 24hours after taking delivery. That's got to be a record! Anyway, here in SoCal, I paid MSRP when I ordered at the end of Jan 2002 for April delivery. At that time, I saw $15k markup on some convertibles in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. |
