View Full Version : Install SS Brake Lines myself or have a shop install? How big of a pain are they? Bham BMW M3 12-12-2003, 02:05 PM Are they difficult to install I bleed out?? Just make sure that you had the proper tools (flare wrench in particular) BEFORE starting. And of course you'll need to bleed the system. ATE Super Blue or ATE Typ2000 work great for the street. Sorry, but I can't help you with what a shop would charge. HTH m3brad 12-12-2003, 03:34 PM If you're only running your M3 on the street, why bother? At the track is a whole different story. Changing the lines is a dirty job and besides having the flare wrench, you'll want to rig something up to catch your fluid while the lines are unhooked. One last comment, my FORMER BMW dealer voided my brake warranty for changing to SS lines and ATE blue fluid. He wanted to charge me $2K for new brakes, front & rear.:laugh |
