I'd go for the eletric fan mod by my alternator just doesn't have the juice to spare. My amp sucks it all up, and then some. If I crank the volume past 80% or so, the sound system dies to save power for the essentials (fuel pump, running lights ect) =/

I'll have to look into swapping alternators if I want to free up that extra little bit of power. Though the mod isn't really needed on my little trooper, I've only had it go over the 1/2 mark 3 or 4 times.

after replacing the radiator and then the water pump, my e21 has stopped leaking anything (was leaking coolant) and it now has a very low coolant operating temperature when i feel it has been properly warmed up

faste21, that coolant temp level should be something to watch out for . . . my radiator was the OEM unit when i took it out . . . holy crap was that thing ready to get out of the car . . . you should really take a look at the condition of your own

The Oil Cooler is actually a Factory Part, just not for my car! :evil2 It is from an E28 M5. Since I could not use the factory E30 M3 parts I needed to find another setup and found out about this. My car will spend most of its time being beat on, I figured it would be worth the investment so I got it.

rocking the "less than quarter tank" :buttrock
plus ur car weighs like +70lbs less....altho it's no good for the fuel pump & during tire screetching turns when the fuel get's slooshed away from the intake pump :devillook

oh hey, matt, what position does ur temp needle indicate, now that the weather is a lot cooler (mid 70's)?
over the summer mine hovered around the 1/2 to just before the 3/4 mark. but, in the last week or so, mine's been mostly at the first 1/4 mark, and sometimes it'll go between 1/4 & 1/2 after i get on the gas & don't have the electric fan on.

So does the M3 one NOT work on the M10? Or was it too expensive? Please inform me since I might be upgrading the one on my M3 (along with everything else motor related).

BTW, does ANYTHING from the motor of an S14 work on the M10? Like say the crank or cams? I've got to rebuild my S14 now, so I might as well go at least 2.5, meaning new cams and crank, as well as other parts.

Sorry to hijack the thread. Here's a random pic getting newer tires to rock the racked look. BTW, that is on STOCK suspension, with 225/75/15 tires on the rear:
