...picked it up from Evosport a few days ago, and I'm really impressed! At first I though something was wrong, and that I couldn't get it in gear. Realized that I WAS in gear...it was that short! Absolutely no slop at all. The amount of effort needed to engage did take some getting used to. It feels like what I imagine a race car shifter would feel like. Very stout and demanding. From what I've read and heard, the AS ultimate SSK was the best kit, but one of the toughest to install. Evosport did a great job. All in all, a very worthwhile upgrade. Below are pics of gears 1-4. Talk about minimal travel! Okay, along with the adj. clutch stop, I'm happy...for now.

Interior is Imola. Flash will do funny things to color. Yes, pic 4 is indeed 4th gear. Imagine the distance between pics 3 and 4. That's where neutral is. Do you have a SSK? I had an older Ben Liaw SSK on my '97 M3, and that one doesn't compare to the Autosolutions kit. Not putting down my old BLSSK, just that the throws on the AS kit is so much shorter, more positive, less play, and feels stronger.

It sits about 1/2" lower than stock. It's better, but still will look a bit funny for those of us coming from an e36. I don't think there's any SSK that allows for the shifter to sit any lower. Possibly a leverage thing. Good luck w/ the new car!
