Anyone have a 17mm allen socket? (for the rear diff plugs)
How about M8, M10, & M12 Torx? I'll be swapping in an LSD this month...
of course, lended tools=free beer :)
Thanks in advance

Was mainly looking to borrow the 17mm allen socket. I ordered it from bavauto ($25), so it's all good

a 17mm allen?? damn! .. i dont ahve any torques, but for the future, dont hesitate to ask for tools from me! i have a decent sized set from Craftsman
ah man, didn't see this thread earlier.....but i have a 17mm allen socket (i use it for my tranny drain/fill plugs).
i got mine from BAP's for a few bucks (it's the same exact thing bavauto sells, cept it's chrome, fits 3/8 drives, and is about 20 bucks cheaper)......if u can, cancel or order...or see if they'll take it back, cuz u could even pick up a craftsman 17mm allen L-wrench for cheaper than 26 bucks.
i have one or two torx bits....no idea what size they are...probably smaller than m8 tho.

not for this to go OT but jbob - how often you you replace your tranny fluid? ive never done mine since i aquired the car.. perhaps its time to do it?
every 1.5 to 2 years or so. i'm running w/ redline MTL (altho i've heard some people who have used it in their e21's and had it leaking like a mother....since synthetic leaks thru old seals a lot easier.)

does BAP have a website? I got some tools I got from my father and some I bought myself, mainly metric sockets and wrenches. Some tools I just borrow becuae I would only use it once.....
I change my tranny fluid every 30k miles, but since I do that much mileage in 3-4 years, I change it every 1.5-2 years like Jason
