Looks hot

I don't think I could do that to mine since it's my daily driver and the roads around Birmingham suck. I'd have the front ripped up/off on the first day.

Is there any suspension on that car?

It looks super low...wow. You are a brave man.

and the last one.........i didnt put the rear all the way down.......i think i should have, but now its a pain in the ass, god dammit, its not low enough. i put the rear perches down to the bottom threads, but technically theres still more room to go if its not on the threads.....and i could even take one of the bottom twister things off, not sure what theyre called, i guess the adjusters, u know how theres 2? :az:

lol, i dunno bro, i dont think the rear is low enough, im sort of pissed off right now. i might raise the front up a bit, but i'd hate to make this mechanic adjust the rear since adjusting the rear seems liek such a pain in the ass, is it possible to take the bottom adjuster off and just go completely down not using the threads.? does anyone understand what i mean? kevlar?

thanks bud. appreciate the kind words....i really need to see it outside to really get a perspective on how low it is, i cant tell with it being so cramped up in a garage if you know what i mean and without natural lighting, i need to see it parallel parked or something, im weird. :dunno

I'm not sure how the FK adjusters work. But I'd imagine if you disconnect the shock assembly you shuold be able to free rotate the threaded part down as low as you want it.

The question is ... if there are no real threads there to support the car, don't you think it may be 'too low'?

I hear what youre saying Kev, but I know that rear FK's go down lower than this, im not a suspension expert and I had a mechanic do this for me while watching the whole time, but I know it can go lower........the front is only 3/4 of the way down, but the rear I THOUGHT i put all the way down, but as i said before, i now see how it can go lower without the threads.....i just need someone to confirm this........and like i said, i would be happy with a little more of a drop in the rear, i agree that the front is a bit nutty. :mdrbig

Remove them? Are you sure this is safe/possible? Dont they also provide some sort of stabilization? or something? thats what im worried about. And youre talking about the rear right? you dont mean to slam the front any more than it already is right? :laugh

Remember... after you drive the car for about a week... it's going to lower. I takes a couple of miles or so for all the rubber bushing to give and mush so you get the proper ride height. My car droped about an additional .25" after driving it for about a week.

I want a 1500 mile write up. I want to know what you think of it after 1500 actual 'everyday driving' miles. I looks really good, but I dont know if its practical enough for me. :)

Make sure you get that thing aligned. With that big of a ride height change your toe and camber settings are going to be way out of wack.

Also, I wouldn't be suprised if you are ridding the bumpstops all day long. The spring rates on those FK probabily aren't high enough to handle all the suspension dampner travel you just lost going so low. This is going to give you a horrible handling/riding car. If the car feels like its bottoming out, you're on the bumpstops. :nono

Congrats Dave, looks sick, and just in time for our blizzard:( .
Just be careful, car is sitting real low, and is only gonna get lower, and around here, your gonna tear that car up with it like that. Looks great though.

Be safe.

I 2nd this. :buttrock

Give the car a week or so to settle. If it hasn't dropped in the rear, pull out the height adjusters. I did this with my H&R c/o's. (But the rear still wasn't low enough so I bought a pair of red H&R sport 29936 HA springs that are 3/4" shorter than rear c/o springs)

You shouldn't have any problems with removing the adjusters.

yeah walter, this blizzard sucks, but i wasnt going to let it stop my 2 months of waiting to receive these things and have time to install them......just my luck that this blizzard just so occurs on the day of my planned install, so i figured i'd just leave it in the garage that i installed it in until all this shit clears (doesnt look like its going to be soon), and yeah ill be careful on the roads, well worth it to me, but i have to raise the front up a bit, especially with the front add-on coming. :bawl
