But, I have to ask...why in the hell did you spend $2,900 on a damn cat!?!? I mean, get a dog or something. RIC 12-05-2003, 06:00 PM :biglaughb it paid for and parents didn't want to get me a new bm so it was that or some little beater ecpreston 12-06-2003, 12:20 AM yeah really, $2900? What, do you drive an 850csi? M5? God, it's got to be something with at LEAST 2 cats, and must have been a greedy dealership.... ...searching.... This was for your 318i?!!!! :95 WOW. :bawl A good as original DEC cat (~$350 shipped) and a good shop could have done that for, eh, way than $1000, maybe $600 total? And I think you only have one 02 sensor, and gaskets are cheap, so assuming they did it all and did it right, maybe $800 tops? What happened? Am I missing something? :dunno RIC 12-08-2003, 04:10 PM they just dopped a newer 318 engine in. and i didn't feel like looking around for another engine. so i just let bavarian motorsports do it. everywhere else i called wanted 2500 just to fix the head and the motor that was in the car had 130+ miles on it, so they just dropped in a motor w/ less miles. ecpreston 12-08-2003, 11:36 PM lol, I'm so confused. Well at least that explains the "extra" cost! Cool then, game on. :buttrock alfatech 12-09-2003, 06:42 PM should have just dropped in a 3.0 or 3.2 :) |
