View Full Version : need beater to leave m3 in garage!!! craaaazzy 12-04-2003, 04:49 PM so i drove close to 26k miles last year on my car. i am looking for a beater truck. anyone know anything about the mazda b2200 trucks that may help me inspect one? Ron17 12-04-2003, 04:56 PM I need a beater, as well. I've put 17k miles on my car since May when I bought it. I really need to call about that Integra LS I found... jcsomerset 12-04-2003, 05:55 PM I know absolutely nothing about Mazda's, though older Toyota's and Nissan's seem to hold together better.. Take notice of what you see driving about town - I see many more old nissan's and toyota's than Mazda's... (trucks and cars included) All of that is strictly my opinion.. An integra as a beater? ROn - You'll Rice that puppy out in no time - I can see it now - Big stainless wing (why anyone puts those wings on FWD cars' i'll never know), bling-bling rims, big japanese letter on the hatchback window.... :D Ron17 12-04-2003, 05:58 PM Originally posted by jcsomerset An integra as a beater? I won't... :devillook BimmerDawg 12-04-2003, 07:42 PM Nor = Rice. I don't know. jcsomerset 12-04-2003, 07:46 PM Just giving you some hell Ron :D craaaazzy 12-05-2003, 12:11 PM got a mazda yesterday! from what i've been researching, toyotas, nissans, and mazdas are the best but mazda's are about 1/2 the price of the other 2. (trucks and cars included) craaaazzy 12-05-2003, 01:16 PM also, just got insurance on it...total insurance for 6 months went up $20 total. truck as primary and m3 as secondary. :) Ron17 12-05-2003, 02:16 PM Fred... if you don't mind me asking, who's your insurance with? Also, what are the details of the truck? rwindleyme02 12-05-2003, 03:44 PM There's a 4x4 2000 Jeep "Rock" for sale for $7500 in Bimmer Cars. jcsomerset 12-05-2003, 04:08 PM from what i've been researching, toyotas, nissans, and mazdas are the best but mazda's are about 1/2 the price of the other 2. So no real quality difference between them, but the resales of the mazda's are lower? Kewl - Like I said - I knew nothing... still don't know Jack- (about the old jap trucks that is) craaaazzy 12-05-2003, 04:25 PM i've got state farm...both cars and home insurance. as far as the truck, it's 2wd, extended cab w/ a regular 6 foot bed. 5 speed, 121k miles, 4 cylinder(no power!!!), power steering, ac, radio, etc. i think the 86-91 mazda trucks were the ones from japan...before ford took over so quality wise, they're better. I have State Farm as well... both for the M3 and for my renters insurance. I've got my eye on a 93 Integra LS as my beater, though I found some other options today. :) kchildre 12-09-2003, 07:49 AM My brother has an older (2nd generation) Integra LS that's a great "beater" car. I don't think he's asking for more than about $1,500 for it, but it runs strong and while cosmetically isn't much to look at it's helped keep a lot of miles off his 328i. If any of you are interested, I can put you in touch with him. PM me for more information... Ron17 12-09-2003, 03:49 PM Is it the black '93 on Autotrader? If so, that's the one I've been eyeing. kchildre 12-10-2003, 07:46 AM Originally posted by Ron17 Is it the black '93 on Autotrader? If so, that's the one I've been eyeing. Nope, he hasn't posted it on Autotrader yet... |
