View Full Version : Final GTG of 2003 for BFC Georgia: SHORT NOTICE!
Ron17 12-03-2003, 04:17 PM This is not a meet, nor is it a drive. It is a Get-Together.
Anyways, with Finals week approaching and few people heading out of town directly after purging their memory banks of the stuff they crammed in there the night before their last final, it looks like this week is the only time we can get the whole crew together.
So, what about tomorrow night at 7:30 at the Taco Mac on Roswell Rd., just across from the Three-Dollar Cafe where we had that one GTG?
Is this possible? Can we do this? Can we pull it off on short notice?
I think we can. Let me know.

This jist of the other post goes like this...
I won't be there.
Anyway, this isn't the last GTG for 2003. We're doing a drive and meet (in that order) on the 14th.
325Driver 12-03-2003, 09:20 PM Sounds like fun, but alas I have a persuasive speech I have to give on Friday for which I have not even begun to prepare.

bcart1991 12-04-2003, 10:44 AM Shut up Ron, I have a going-away party tonight for a friend who's moving to OK City. Also at Gumbeaux's BTW.
FYI tomorrow night and your state of womanlessness, my sister is coming to watch the game, 23, 5'9", blonde...
Carter
rwindleyme02 12-04-2003, 10:47 AM Whoa, Carter's offering his sister to Aaron... I'll definitely drive you guys to see this! ;)

OK, you're excused from Taco Mac, but I'll need similar excuse slips from all the other "weaklings". :laugh
Sister, eh? 23, 5'9", blonde... yes... :devillook
Kyle K. 12-04-2003, 02:14 PM You went to Tech, you should know how dead week is. Especially since I had my final project for 1770 due today and final english project due tomorrow. I've been in the Mason computer labs for about 24 hours in the past 2 days to finish the 1770 project, and now I've got to do english tonight. :(
Ron17 12-04-2003, 02:47 PM :violinist
Kyle K. 12-04-2003, 03:46 PM I don't like you anymore.
Ron17 12-04-2003, 03:52 PM Awwww... I'm allowed to be unsympathetic, because I went to Tech. I know exactly what you mean, to a degree that you can't even comprehend yet. Just wait... it gets more fun. And by "fun" I mean "fuck-me-in-the-ass-I-want-to-kill-myself-with-a-meat-hook fun."
So, when you get done crying you a river, come blow off some steam at Taco Mac. You'll thank me later. :)
Kyle K. 12-04-2003, 04:03 PM I'll make the first gtg of next year, Cooper and all. And yeah, I realize that it'll get worse but that doesn't mean that I can leave tonight and not do my work. :az:
Ron17 12-04-2003, 04:13 PM Who said anything about NOT doing your work? I'm talking about half-assing it, of course. That's what all-nighters are for.
rwindleyme02 12-04-2003, 04:55 PM 1770 is easy anyway. I took it as an optional class just cause I know I'd kick its ass. (back in quarters it wasn't reqiured and was called by another number) I do me some autoCAD just about everyday. ;)
Ron17 12-04-2003, 06:47 PM Six of us... that's weak. Seriously weak.
BimmerDawg 12-04-2003, 07:43 PM Short notice = crazy weak. ;)
Ron17 12-04-2003, 08:20 PM Athens. Super collasal mega hydra-weak.
Sorry guys that I couldn't make it out. Wish I could, but I'm sitting here slaving away at yet another project due tomorrow. :(
UR2SLOW 12-04-2003, 09:47 PM It's going to be even weaker......
I JUST got home :(
325Driver 12-05-2003, 12:32 AM 150 round trip is quite a drive just for dinner, regardless of the overall quality of ones company and their cars.
Ron17 12-05-2003, 10:19 AM Sacrifice. Dedication. Selflessness.
You owe it to yourselves and your fellow BFC GA folk.

I agree, my test average in that class is well above a 90. But when you give all your part files to a member in your team and he swears he'll finish the assembly by thanksgiving break, then swears that he's ALMOST done with it when we get back, then disappears from the face of the earth and sends us a halfway done (and incorrectly done at that) assembly 2 days before the project is due, it makes it a bit more difficult. And we're using Solid Edge, our AutoCAD project was a solo project so I finished it in plenty of time with no issues. :az:
And anyway, I told you guys I could meet up tonight... now I'll just be drinking on campus. :buttrock
Yep - I got a B in 1770 because a group member COMPLETELY screwed up the report. He only had ONE picture of our design in the whole 17 page report we had written. He thought, "finish up the report" meant "I'll copy and paste the crap for 10 seconds then print that out..." A 65 on your final project really hurts your mid A test average.
My first taste of group work in college, and I've been loving it ever sense.
Ron17 12-05-2003, 06:01 PM But at least you're surrounded by HOARDES of beautiful women who aren't bitchy in the least...

It carries on into the workplace after graduation too, right Aaron? I don't think i'd sleep very well at night knowing that after I graduate I wouldn't be surrounded by hotties anymore.

If by "hotties" you mean "middle-aged males", then you're right on track!
