Dear motorist:

New Jersey Taxpayers are already being taken to the cleaners by politicians who act like your money belongs to them. Now they want more. Liberal politicians are talking about gasoline tax increases anywhere from between 10 and 32 cents per gallon -- increases which will cost jobs and hurt our economy. I created nogastaxhike.com to defeat this tax increase and you can help make that happen by signing our online petition. (http://nogastaxhike.com/Page.html)

Your petition will be sent to your State Senator, your two Assembly members and Governor McGreevey so they hear from the people paying the bills, and not just those who have their hands out for more of our money.

We have also included a sample (http://nogastaxhike.com/SampleResolution.html) resolution for local and county officials to pass to show their support for our efforts to fight this tax.

As Mayor of Bogota for eight years, I found that all taxpayers need to do to win is to stand tall and stand together. Through nogastaxhike.com, taxpayers have a voice and that voice will be heard. Together, we can stop this tax increase and the cycle of runaway spending that this gasoline tax increase is designed to fuel.

This site contains lots of information so you can be informed when talking to your friends, neighbors, co-workers as well as local politicians who might attempt to defend this massive tax increase. An educated voter is Democracy’s best customer.

Mayor Steve Lonegan

Bogota, New Jersey

oh WTF!!!!

that's it, I'm moving to Florida. This is really getting out of hand now. $30,000 a year property taxes are one thing but come on now! :complain

New Jersey will lose my tax money, my employees will be out of a job and my company will move out of state. This is just ridiculous. :nono

They've already lost my vote.

Well...
If I may add to your discussion that in Germany we pay sth. like $1,00 tax per litre....

That really sucks! We pay like $4,00 a gallon for premium....
But you guys are still right! Those tax risings are totally stupid.
