I got into a fight with bmw parts because they refused to take me seriously because I am a girl and I have a 95 M3. All I need is the connector for the sensor that plugs into the windshield wiper container and the pump. There is a connector that connects both the sensor and the pump together, and they laughed at me and said there was no such thing and i would have to have my daddy splice wires.

please help me :(

Alright i will give them a call, but i would like to have the parts number for that connector so they can just key it in the computer and see exactly what i am referring too. i want to have all the information i can so they actually treat me with respect and realize i know what i am talking about.

pm/email a member called schosports in the md/dc/va forum. He works at a BMW dealership in the parts department. A manager I believe. Tell him what happened -- he should be able to assist you.

Here you go,

Fluid level switch BMW pn: 61 31 1 388 578

Should be an item in stock, if not they can order for you.

After you get the part tell the parts guy to kiss you ass. :buttrock

NoSoup4U: Thanks for the help....but I am not in maryland right now. I am visiting my grandmother in mesquite, texas for thanksgiving and going back on wednesday. I thought that i would go to the local dealership to get the part and take it back to MD with me. It was Moritz BMW in Arlington...and if possible i would like to go by there again before i fly out on weds.

Call or meet with the dealership's parts manager and tell him what happened. If he values you as a customer, he won't let it happen again.

Thanks a ton BAADDOG! But I just want to make sure that this is the CONNECTOR to the sensor and the pump, not the fluid sensor itself.

those stupid dealers think that just because i have :boobies i dont know anything

Bill is a great guy. Mention that you know us and he'll make sure you have the right part.

if you have time to kill- find a barnes and nobles or borders book store and see if they have your service manual for your car. the manual is published by bentley publishing. good luck

BMWChica,

Call BMW of America, Corporate. narc on the dealer for giving you such crap. They'll raise that dealers new car prices for next year due to bad service marks.

I know there are more good than bad dealers out there, but sometimes bad dealers (or service/parts reps) need to get slammed in their pocket before they modulate their behaviour.

Also grab a BMWCCA membership while you're at it, it will pay for itself in parts discounts. Also it would help to pull the card out as a first measure of adjusting the conversation in the parts dept.

Just my 2 cents.
