View Full Version : Installfest Thanks
Ron17 11-23-2003, 09:25 PM First of all, a BIG thank you to Marco for allowing us to descend upon his driveway/garage/back porch for this installfest. We couldn't have done it without you. Thanks.
Next, I'd like to personally thank the following people for various things they helped me with on my car (in no particular order):
* Karl - O2 Sensor and Tranny Mounts
* Nancy - Brake Pads
* Ryan W - Brake Pads
* Geordie - Bringing my parts to me from Micah
* Ryan J - Use of some of his tools
Congratulations to Anna for her new car. It looks great and we'll have it modded even more in no time. Enjoy it. :)
Oh... thanks to Geordie and Anna for manning the grill, as well. Food was great. Yum.
Finally, here's a big F.U. to the yellowjackets that swarmed around me. They give me fits all day long. I threw down on four of them throughout the day, but they kept coming back. It was the Special Reserve.
Anyways, :flipa: to the yellowjacket nest that was sending those guys out.
Oh... and thanks to Marco for playing Britney Spears and N'Sync music out his windows all day. ;)

Bremsen 11-23-2003, 11:17 PM Ron, I thought it was hilarious that Nancy was doing your brakes when I got back from the store. Also, you need to contact Michelin tomorrow about your tires.....I think they need to give you a free set. Thats BS.
Good to meet some of you new guys, glad you could make it out.
tfab, the installfests happen every few months or so. Start collecting ;)
I would thank Marco, but he's not gonna read this anyways since he's giving up the internet.
Ron17 11-23-2003, 11:24 PM Seriously. He's not around much anymore. Here's how I invision a conversation between Marco, Jimmy and Al Gore about the internet:
Marco: "Internet? :95 "
Al Gore: "Yeah... you know, the thing I invented."
Jimmy: "I'll punch you in the face."
------------------------------------------------------
I'm contacting Michelin tomorrow. Wooo!! Free Pilot Sports.
:alright

BimmerDawg 11-24-2003, 09:30 AM Yes! It was a great time. Thanks to Aaron and Ryan W. for helping me with the spark plugs, Nancy for the help with the microfilter, Ryan J. for his tools and Anna for being so hot.
And a big "you're an ass" to Jacob. Because you're an ass. ;)
aMiR M3 11-24-2003, 10:16 AM Had fun and nice to see you guys again :astromile
PrinceE30 11-24-2003, 10:19 AM Thanks for all the entertainment, tech talk, and just a really cool day guys. It's nice to actually meet some people in the area.
So Chuck, what's the address of the garage you work at? I'd love to come by and run some ideas by ya for a build up I'm thinking of in the near future.
Again, thanks all and hope to see some of you tonight at Andretti's!

Ron17 11-24-2003, 10:28 AM Your car sounds good, Amir.
Sparc_it 11-24-2003, 10:30 AM Ali and Amir.....you guys live in Inverness don't you?
WytLytnyn 11-24-2003, 10:35 AM That was pretty cool yesterday. Thanks Marco for having everyone over.
zeit00 11-24-2003, 10:52 AM Not a problem Ron.. Enjoyed it.. Its amazing that we swapped out both of those parts in less than 30 minutes..
And the fact that we did not break anything.. ;)
rwindleyme02 11-24-2003, 10:56 AM Not breaking stuff is key... ;)
Ron17 11-24-2003, 11:01 AM Hence, by the transitive property, we can logically conclude that Geordie is not key.
:biglaughb
zeit00 11-24-2003, 11:07 AM Righty tighty.... Lefty... OH NEVER MIND!
It was cool that we did not have remove the trans brace.. How is the car running BTW?
Ron17 11-24-2003, 12:44 PM Running well. I'm mildly concerned about that one tire... and also about the bent rim.
:az:
mobetta 11-24-2003, 01:06 PM I feel so loved!:stickoutt
Oh, and Jimmy, Anna's car is a......... BMW.

this is to the guy that has the purple m3 with the bent rim. i was talking to someone that works for the dot and they told me that if there was a sign showing that the road was uneven then they are not responsible. so i hope that there was no sign for your sake. sory guys i know that was way off topic.

Great. Figures...
Thanks for the info.
From now on, I'm going to make "a sign" for everything I do. That way, if I get caught, I cannot be held responsible.
Caution: Speed Limit Likely To Be Exceeded Greatly
Officer: "Son, do you know how fast you were going back there?"
Me: "I'm not your son. And it doesn't matter, because I have a sign... A SIGN!!!"
Funny how there's a double-standard between the government's behavior and how they expect their "loyal subjects" to behave.
