Here in GA it's based on the value of your car... Luckily, mine's getting old, so it was only $135. Carter themadhatter 11-19-2003, 11:07 AM you can thank that asshole Gov. McGreedy. he hiked a couple of taxes on us and this new tax (the registration fee) is aimed at turning the money around for special pet interests he has. another reason why I'm moving out of Jersey. Cosmos 11-19-2003, 11:38 AM The registration is based on weight class. I'm guessing the Montero is one heavy beast. My registration for my Tacoma is $98 and it only weighs around 3300-3400 lbs but fully laden it is 5000 lbs. so the registration is the 5000 lbs weight class. I hate Jersey. Damn insurance, shitty roads and traffic, high property tax..... I want to move. Anyone know where (other than Jersey) they are hiring software developers?:dunno themadhatter 11-19-2003, 11:55 AM you're on your own with the software biz - but I'm running out to Florida and I'm planning on buying properties and getting fat off the rent checks. -Ron AutoCouture 11-20-2003, 12:59 AM Originally posted by themadhatter you're on your own with the software biz - but I'm running out to Florida and I'm planning on buying properties and getting fat off the rent checks. -Ron that sounds like a really good idea! Dont you just love that traffic buildup RIGHT there? sal nope, I don't have to worry about that traffic on the parkway or even on rt280 (exit 145) since I don't drive to work in the morning. heck, I don't even have to get up early unless my girlfriend nudges me in bed if she wants to have breakfast out of the house. :D it's nice when you don't have work in Jersey, I'm a tax free fool. :D -Ron themadhatter 11-20-2003, 07:30 AM Originally posted by Stylin The Sport wieghts in around 3700lbs i believe...
