have you done anything to the front-end?

It somehow looks "different"..

Thanks for the compliments! I figured it was about time to help bring some life to the 8 board. Terry's been like a one man show representing the 8's.
As for the front, its the stock csi lower spoiler, but the grills are the factory chromed ones from BMW individual, and the license plate area was filled in with the RD Sport filler piece. I can't say enough bad things about RD sport, but the piece really cleans up the front end and they're they only people that make one so....

Absolutely gorgeous... and a 6-speed, to boot.

That is jizz-tastic.

Now I'm jealous!!!!

It's all in the lighting Terry :D I got lucky, the building in the background acted as a big reflector and kept the shadows from getting to harsh in the afernoon sun. Funny though, I'm always jealous of the light metallic colors like yours that show off the subtle lines so much better than the solid colors :)

Ah I knew there was something different, that CSi front end really looks nice...

Just for background of course!! I liked that bridge behind yours too much!!

Your 8 is real nice! Very clean too! I think I saw it parked right in front of Herb Chambers on Sunday when I went there to check out Mini's.

You're making me want to buy that 840 I saw on a lot near my house.

ajw45
11-19-2003, 04:17 PM
Go for it! Or at least test drive that 840 and tell us what you think.
The color is brilliantrot which I think was the typical bright red back in the early '90's for BMW. The interior is the stock black leather, aside from the nakamichi cd-400 I installed. I'll try to get some pictures over thanksgiving, hopefully the engine bay is still clean since I cleaned it up in the spring.
I haven't been to Herb in a while... is there another bright red 8 in the area? That's the second time soneone has thought they've seen me. The first time, I thought the guys at the shop had taken my car for a joyride

:biglaughb It's the top level of the garage for the science museum. I work over by the galleria and was bored that afternoon so I headed to the top of the garage for a few pics. The 8 hasn't seen much use this year, I've been traveling more than I've been home and even when I was home, the ex kept me locked up in the basement :stickoutt. Actually, the ex thought the 8 was beautiful... and then refused to be seen in it because she claimed it was too flashy :dunno. I'm definitely going to try and get to some of the local meets get a closer look at some of the sweet bimmers I've seen cruising Newbury before the snow comes and the 8 gets put in the garage for good.

Terry, I'm running the standard supersprint exhaust but the tips are pretty damn big though it sounds pretty close to stock. One of the bmwcca driving instructors got in my car and the first thing he asked was whether I thought my pipes were big enough. The ID is actually a lot smaller than the OD of the pipes so they aren't as enourmous as they seem.

That's awesome. I'm allways around gally, i'll look out for it.

Great pictures, and i'll defenatlly make sure you know about upcoming events and meets, just incase, so everyone can drool over the ride.

How much are you asking for the 635?
and could you give me some more info on it.

Yeah, now that I think about it, it was different. Your is way better, especially with your rims. Maybe it is someone that works there? I'm not sure, but I'll look for it again if I pass by. Once again, awesome 8!!!!!

Very clean ... I love the 8's, I used to have a 91 850i myself about 2-3 years ago. Got rid of it when I moved though. Keep up the great work !!

Awesome car AJ,

I'm curious of how you allocated the CSi fron end? Did you go directly to BMW?
