View Full Version : Another chapter in the Insurance world...
Crazy Dave 11-18-2003, 05:08 PM Finally!! I just got a call from my insurance lady, she sounded pretty scary on the phone, like she was about to bring me some bad news. Asks me to bring her a blank check, and that we have to sit down and review some changes to my auto policy. At that point my heart was racing a million miles an hour. Im thinkin, "its already 440 a month, clean record, what will it be now??" She asks me to come in today after work, so I say okay I'll be there...and then ask if everythings ok. She goes, oh yeah! Gonna save you some money, looks like we set up your policy wrong! BOOYAH!
m42technic 11-18-2003, 05:28 PM Nice!
Whats it down to now?
Crazy Dave 11-18-2003, 06:04 PM Dont know yet, gonna go in at 4:30 when im off work and find out. She says I should be really happy about it.
wait....so if they setup ur policy wrong...and by the impression u got from her, they were charing u tooo much? wouldn't they owe u something, besides a big appology? cuz u could've used that extra money every month for any debt (if u have debt) or other stuff ( :D e36 m3)
440 a month with a clean record? Time for a new company.

Seriously. That's really high.
Crazy Dave 11-18-2003, 08:24 PM It is, but believe it or not its the cheapest I could find at the time. They lowered it to 386, which was cool...but i still think I could do better. I think it was Liberty Mutual that offers BMW drivers an extra 10 percent off the 6 month premium. I'd go with Progressive, or something like that, but they base it off credit. Im in the middle of disputing a problem on my credit report, that dropped my FICO 100 points!! A lot of you know the story, with the payoff of my last car. For those that dont, the dealership didnt pay it off til mid April...and I traded it February 1st. So once thats off there, which should be soon...I can look for something cheaper.
And Geoff...not only a clean record, but a 4 door slushbox at that!
Iniquity 11-19-2003, 12:03 AM yea.. $400/month doesn't sound right... are you sure it's not $400 per 6 month period.. that makes more sense...
Crazy Dave 11-19-2003, 12:07 AM Oh no...I just wrote out a check for this month...$386, plus my $19 for renters insurance.
